  1. True, Pitino will coach again. But not until his legal entanglements are cleared. Age? In the new millennium, age is a state of mind and Pitino thinks he's 50, again.
  2. Someone on the update thread commented that hand checking , body fowls and defensive hip thrown moves were not called. Refs from my region have seen but not called those all year. Congratulations to Corbin on the win. Also Congratulations to Estill County for giving your fans an exciting season. Always fun to see different teams make it to the Big Dance at Rupp.
  3. Thanks to everyone for updates, stats and comments about runs in the game. Great tournament with the atmosphere at Rupp, THE BIGGEST STAGE ever for these 16 teams and the fans they bring with them. Enjoy the ride.
  4. Congratulations to Tanner Clos, a fine young man. Humble player with a great work ethic. The college he selects will be pleasantly surprised by how much he contributes to their program because he gets the job done quietly. Taylor, his twin sister, is his #1 fan. Go Camels, make some noise at Rupp. Enjoy the RIDE.
  5. 1 Corbin 1 Trinity 1 Warren Central 1 John Hardin 1 Campbell County 1 Oldham County 1 Covington Catholic 1 Fern Creek 2 Corbin 2 Warren Central 2 Campbell County 2 Covington Catholic 3 Corbin 3 Campbell County 5 Campbell County Tie Breaker 132
  6. This is for all of you, a quote from my dear mother. Win with DIGNITY, Lose with GRACE. Congratulations Seygan and all others who were in the running. Kentucky is blessed to have so many young ladies who are moving on to play at the next level, especially the Division 1 players.
  7. I just voted today at 11:09 am and I've voted every day. I'm using my laptop and I don't know if it makes a difference. Right now, she leads by .26 %.
  8. Every possession counts and defense wins this one. GRC must stay out of foul trouble and defend every pass. If they are successful yes GRC wins, otherwise E-town by 6. Anyone doing updates?
  9. Makes you wonder what the 25.6% of other distractions were?:o
  10. Congratulations, Tanner. You are a joy to watch because you work so hard. Your smile after last night's game, I'll bet is still there today. Love you, enjoy the dance and make some noise at Rupp.
  11. You gave your opinion, I gave mine. I stand by what I posted. Yes, psycho, abuse and hate are strong words to you. Not me, I've walked in those parent's shoes. I know the damage an egotistical coach can do. Albeit, a long time ago. No, my children were not perfect and neither are coaches. The emotional damage that can be done to these young people is real. And it IS bullying.
  12. That's why a meeting is needed with player, his parents, coach, assistant coaches and Athletic Director. And secretly with players if need be, to protect them. The light of day needs to be shown on this coach. I'm not for hanging the psycho name on anyone unless proof is found. But first in my book is the safety of this young man. Coach is on his own, he's a big boy.
  13. The something else in this story, that you're not getting, is this coach truly hates this young man or someone in the family. I believe the young man's story, because fellow players would not be telling Cooper Dad #5 how bad it is for the young man in practice. You may not buy into it but there are coaches out there who are not interested in winning with another coach's players, because HE cannot take credit for their training and talent. It is an ego thing. I've seen coaches play every player they have, at a particular position, except the athlete who has put in a lot of their personal time at practice and camps and money but was trained by the OTHER coach. I have several coaches in my family and have heard instances like this one. There are psycho egotistical coaches out there who do, just for some reason personality conflict or family connection, develop hate for a young player. It's a shame that this young man has to live with this situation because at this age high school is the greatest thing in their life. This type of abuse that can become an emotional danger to the young person. I believe the young man. If meetings are not agreed to or a discussion between player, parents and coach with assistant coaches cannot be held, THIS COACH SHOULD BE NAMED. It may not help this young man but it may keep this guy from ever coaching anyone's child.
  14. Lexi is ONLY up 50.23% to 49.77%. Come on people, vote for this Kentucky player.
  15. Looked like Coach Russell made the most of his halftime, trying to get players free for open shots of which there were few. It was a battle to the finish. That Paris-Scott game was brutal. Guys on both teams are going to feel it tomorrow. Paris crashed the boards for I don't know how many offensive rebounds. I didn't know if Scott could hold up under the onslaught. But they did!
  16. That three by Reid Jolly was huge! Crucial because the Camels needed it and it was sweet. That man will defend and not be moved.
  17. From my view there was no tripping and I wasn't a fan for either team.
