Purple88 Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Congratulations Zion! Big Deal Accomplishment! Wish him the best! Thanks again for your efforts to get my Purples a State Championship a couple seasons ago!
TAC Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Congrats to the kid but just silly. No one gets to see all kids play to gauge who is the best in the nation.
KY Hoop Dirt Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Congrats to the kid but just silly. No one gets to see all kids play to gauge who is the best in the nation. Huh? Then what is the point in giving a college player of the year or nba mvp, don’t get to see them play? Of course they see all the top ones play.

Purple88 Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 How old is this young man? Where does he play high school ball? Sports, I honestly don't know how old he is, but know he played last season at Adair County. The season prior to that he played on the BG team that won their first basketball State Championship. I assume he will play again at Adair, but not really sure. It would be worth the tank of gas to go see this young man play.
Sportsaholic Mamaw Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 What does it mean when a young man intends to reclassify for recruitment purposes? I've never read that. How does it work? Does the student skip a class? What would be the reason for choosing to do this?

Has he played any amateur foreign league ball? If there is such a league? What city is Harmon's Kentucky hometown?
PurplePride92 Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 What does it mean when a young man intends to reclassify for recruitment purposes? I've never read that. How does it work? Does the student skip a class? What would be the reason for choosing to do this? It means that he is currently a freshman but with the right classwork he could skip his sophomore year and be a junior next year. Most times you’ll see guys reclassify and enter college a year early but if Zion Harmon is going to reclassify now then I am guessing he will skip his sophomore year. Unofficially I think the reasoning behind it is that the kid was held back at some point and is now being placed back in his rightful class.

He transferred to Adair County before his freshman year and is playing at Adair County. He has played for Team USA in some international competitions. As far as I know he lives in Adair County somewhere. He’s originally from Maryland if I am not mistaken. He was in Tennessee for part of his middle school years and then moved to BG his 8th grade year.
dognation2 Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Zion is a special player....you can see it immediately if you've watched him play....he's worth the price of admission
outofbounds Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Zion is a special player....you can see it immediately if you've watched him play....he's worth the price of admission He may be at the high school level...I don't see it translating to college. He is only 5'10". You gotta be really special to have an impact at that size in college.
