  1. The state of Kentucky has a limit as to how big schools can build gyms now. No one can build as big as the Fieldhouse with tax dollars now. Just my opinion but the sweltering heat and being in one of the dozens of seats that you cannot see the scoreboards, either of them, did not make my experience last year pleasurable at all at Mason County! To see real crying go back a few years and listen to Mason fans when Montgomery county hosted!
  2. Don't worry about the seating arrangements, I believe there is a plan in the works to pay back the treatment that the student section gave out last year. Just what I hear anyway. Remember anyone can sit anywhere during regional !
  3. It appeared to me that the refs tightened down on Scott counties physical play when they turned up the pressure in the third quarter. They did not allow the "extra " contact that goes uncalled by a lot of officials. Probably the best game GRC has played so far this year as far as start to finish. If Humphrey can get them to peak in March watch out, it could be a special year for Clark County Basketball!:ylsuper:
  4. GRC is able to put several guards on the floor this year playing point. As far as leading this team to the promised land, winning a regional or even a state tournament is not as simple as some think, this team is focused and has the talent to do both. Doing it is another story. They have handled pressure all year. When you are one of the best in the state you will get everyone's A game every night! Coach Strong was a very good coach but sometimes his strict ways got in the way of potential players who did not do well under that type coaching. They just would not play for him. Coach Humphrey has done a very good job with the all star team he has, sometimes that many great players has its own set of problems. This team may not win the state tournament but they will have to be beat, they will not quit!
  5. I have been wanting Vinny to go strong to the basket! Looks like he has!
  6. And if frogs had wings! Every year it is the same old song and dance. Gets old hearing how great Mason County is and how everyone else is second fiddle. Clark County is not a one sport High school, we do not stress the end of a season because the next sport usually has begun when one ends. We compete across the board every year every sport! We will see how the mighty Mason fares against this years team, we shall see!
  7. "GRC, considered to be top 3 in the state, struggled to beat Bryan Station, Tates Creek, and then lose to Henry Clay. " On a neutral floor and with three referees, GRC doesn't struggle to beat either of these teams!
  8. Didn't think the Refs were afraid to call anything, Robbie was too much for Prewitt, period! Other teams take note, get Zollo in foul trouble, you only lose by 29!
  9. In whose favor were those calls going? It was obvious last night they were swallowing the whistles on a lot of calls. Granted GRC does get some penalties in a game but the whistles for Lafayatte when they were obvious calls were not there!
  10. The late hit on Dini after he punted would have given GRC a first down and then a few after the whistle hits were never called even though they were obviously late.
  11. This game was called very tight on one side and Lafayette was given too many breaks. Most of the penalties against the Generals were non factor calls where GRC was called for several game changing penalties. It is hard even for the fine atheletes GRC has to overcome bad coaching and bad officiating to win, a few breaks and a few more caught passes and they would have pulled it off in spite of the officials.
  12. Mykal's mom was one of those mom's in the stand at every game and always at practice. Mom's like her are special and from the times I was around Mykal it was obvious she raised an exceptional young man.
  13. The Bourbon County football team will wear red number 8 on thier helmets when they play Friday night. Thank you from a GRC fan who was brought to tears when I heard this!
  14. No love for GRC? They return all but one player and were in battles with the 7th regions best all year. This team should have taken care of business in the Mason County invitational and they had a shot at a state tourney win. This is my choice for the team to beat, senior year for a bunch of talent. I wouldn't want to play them come March.....IMHO!
  15. I was not aware the different classes were on different days, I did realize that there were more than one class there kind sir!
  16. I am slightly confused, how are they the state champions when most teams are just now finishing regionals?
  17. :deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse::
  18. I think Scott county played very physical all year. They were in foul trouble in a lot of the games I saw them play.
  19. Why you continue picking fights with Clark County is amazing to me! Get over the Mason county arrogance and move on, this year is over, you lost just like us only by more and a few games later!:sssh::ohbrother:
  20. DING DING DING we have a winner!:ohbrother:
  21. Like I tried to make clear in several posts, if what Mason has is tradition you can have mine! I'll take good old fashioned decency any day!
