#6 Scott Co will travel to Winchester and take on #4 GRC this Saturday. Huge big showdown between two of the states top teams. Get there early as the place should be packed.

Your thoughts and predictions.

3-pointers and Free Throws will be the difference in this one. GRC will need getting the ball to Rogers down low, and Daniels on the outside. I am sure Scott Co will be keying in on Stenzel and Zollo, so these player will be the difference for GRC to get the win.

GRC - 74

Scott Co - 70

GRC on a last second shot by Zollo.

GRC by 7

This will go down to the wire just like last years game in Winchester. Exciting atmosphere led to an exciting finish. This game can go either way, but I think Scott County will come out victorious again....68-65.

Also turnovers, we have to protect the ball and make smart passes.

I like Scott County in this one with thier pressure defense and uptemp style play, Scott County 79-74.

If Scott County applies a bunch of pressure then I like the SC Cardinals in this one. Pressure seems to bother GRC in big games.

If GRC don't win the 10th Region this year Hump should be fired! He should had been fired last year after getting beat by Mason County! If Guy strong had these boys they would have won the State two years in a row.

What I have observed over the past few years is that GRC has not had a bona fide point guard, someone that can command the basketball and tell everyone else to get out of the way and put someone on his back and lead this team to the promise land. The other deficiency has been their inability to handle rock solid pressure defense. I guess you can say my first point and last point go hand in hand. I agree with wall11 with the coaching point and that he should have been let go. I remember so well back in the 80's and the Guy Strong days when he leD GRC. Wow what discipline that guy had, x's and o's guy.

GRC is able to put several guards on the floor this year playing point. As far as leading this team to the promised land, winning a regional or even a state tournament is not as simple as some think, this team is focused and has the talent to do both. Doing it is another story. They have handled pressure all year. When you are one of the best in the state you will get everyone's A game every night!

Coach Strong was a very good coach but sometimes his strict ways got in the way of potential players who did not do well under that type coaching. They just would not play for him. Coach Humphrey has done a very good job with the all star team he has, sometimes that many great players has its own set of problems. This team may not win the state tournament but they will have to be beat, they will not quit!

Pressure did not bother GRC at the Beachball Classic.

They showed that with such great pressure that these nationally ranked teams put on them, that they could handle it .We really grew as a team from this tourney. Bopper Stenzel and Hakeem Moore has really made a difference this year. Just curious have you even seen GRC play this year?

One of the many upsides of playing such a brutal schedule that GRC has this year, is that we will be battle tested and have seen many types of pressure defenses. Being ranked in the top 5 in the state we have a bulls eye on our back and every team is giving us thier best shot. GRC out rebouned every team they played in the Beachball. That says alot considering the talent we played. This is one of our strengths.

This game will be won by the team that stays the most mentally focused.

If you are going to the game, get there early, as the gym will be packed. According to BGP ranking #6 Scott Co and #4 GRC will give fans a chance to see two of the top teams in the state battle against each other.
