This will be a tight game from tip to finish. Scott Co doesn't have as much size as Clark Co but are extremely talented with Ivey, Manning, and Shotwell.

I'm going with the GRC Cards by 5-10, but I don't expect them to pull away until late in the 4th quarter.

As seen in the Beachball Classic, Bopper Stenzel is essential to this team. When he went out with 6:00 to go in the final game, things started going downhill. We are much improved in the point guard position this year.

We have got to continue out rebounding teams like we did in the beachball.

Yes we are much better at the PG postion from a year ago. Bopper Stenzel has made a huge difference. Also Hakeem Moore has been improving each game and gives us another wepon at the PG position. GRC has all the tools this year, Talent, height, guards and depth from the bench.

George Rogers Clark senior Vinny Zollo has had today’s date circled on his calendar since the beginning of the season.

Zollo, a senior, would like nothing more than to go out with a win over 11th Region powerhouse Scott County when the two teams meet tonight in a 7:30 tipoff at Norton Gymnasium.“For me personally, and I speak for a lot of our guys, it’s time to beat Scott County,” he said earlier this week. “We got close last year and it’s a big game on our list. There’s no doubt we can get it done.”

Scott County carries an 11-game winning streak into the contest. The Cards’ lone loss was a 77-73 setback to Louisville Ballard in the season-opener.

Like Zollo, Clark senior Robbie Stenzel is looking forward to the challenge.

“I haven’t beaten Scott County since my sixth-grade year,” he said. “Hopefully we’ll come out and end the streak. We’ll just have to do what we do every game.
