  1. WOW! That sounds like a great team! I was only a one year old, so I couldn't enjoy that game.
  2. Trinity's 76 Champs were great! They had 9 shutouts and only allowed 29 points in 13 games until they met a great Henderson County team for the only State Championship held in Lexington's Commonwealth Stadium, where Trinity won 28-24 which happened to be the halftime score.
  3. There have been so many with great story lines to match! But since I have to name one, I would have to go with the 2005 title game with St.X. To beat a undefeated #1 team that waxed us in the rival game and to come back and hold them to six points and win the title was Sweet 16 sweet!
  4. Rocks win this game by 21. Simply because no one runs a offense like Trinty and that's what makes them so hard to game plan. I would love to see these two great programs play on a regular bases. It would be great for the fans, players and football fans everywhere!
  5. Yes! The Campus Store has the DVD Sets! GO Rocks! #19!
  6. I like your list, except I would put Craig DeSensi in front of William. Only because he started on two undefeted State Championship teams. Back then, we were more of a running team. Will was such a fantastic throwing QB. The tie breaker is two titles to one. Great list!!
  7. Congrats to two fine young men! Our armed services are lucky to have them! Good luck guys!
  8. I agree! But I think Duece at X will probably get more pup than Tim for Player of the year because of his size. IMHO, I think Tim is a more versatile back because he can avoid defenders with his laterial movement and has proven he can catch the ball. Also, his size makes him hard to find (310 all-purpose yards in the State Champioship against the best defense in the State). Don't get me wrong, Duece is a fantastic back! But I'm glad to have Tim in our backfield. It will be a fun race to debate in the upcoming season.
  9. Congrats to both lifters! FYI! Timmy benched 330 at school last week. For a 156 lb. kid that is amazing!!! Who won the Powerlifting Meet and who came in 2nd and 3rd. Thanks!
  10. Very well said! This is so true! Thanks!
  11. jimmyref! You make good comments! I didn’t say we didn’t have good athletes. All I’m saying is the system offense we run is very hard to stop on a regular basis. None of the kids you mentioned new what a X, Y receiver was or that you lead with your right foot on this or that route to gain leverage on the defender and you do it over and over until you get it right... Well I can go on and on, but like I said, it’s coaching! Let’s just agree to disagree. Have a great day. By the way, the (2) were learning experiences, the (1) was for the ring! That’s the one people will always remember. GO ROCKS! #19!
  12. I could not have said it any better! Coaching! Coaching! Coaching! By the way, do you mean Bob B... GO Rocks! #19!
  13. It’s all about the system! Let’s keep the ROCK rolling... GO ROCKS! #18!
  14. All very interesting comments! I ponder and wonder why has Trinity been so dominate the last eight years? Sure we have numbers! If the ball bounces left, right we could be talking about another issue. Look! I have been involved with Trinity for 35 years and have had two sons experience the PowerT, academically and athletically. Bottom line, it hurts to hear this to some posters, but its all about COACHING and THE SYSTEM! The kids buy into it at the Freshman level and work it for three more years. It's a pride factor and commitment that translates into championships. I love High School football! I see the talented kids that other schools have and with better coaching could be something special. I hope the schools that are doing all the complaining will keep working hard to put the best product on the field. Peace! Have a great 2008!
  15. Call the athletic office and they will tell you... Go ROCKS! #19!
  16. Very well put! It's to bad someone has to loose. Games like this are hard lessons in life. Good luck to the future of your son...
  17. Incredible!!!! What a great win for our Rocks! I'm sure the umbrella and broom are still tucked under the bench at the Pizza Box.
  18. Great job CenterRocks! You don't miss a thing... What a game! Three-Peat Re-Peat is so sweet! Go Rocks, #19!
  19. Redman will be at Ballard next season! Why? Because Male is limited on the athletes they can get based on the feeder system they have in place, being a traditional school. On the other hand, if you ask anyone in the Louisville coaching community, they will tell you Ballard has a ton of talent to pull from. This is no disrespect to Coach C, he’s a great guy, but Coach Redman is the master motivator (right behind Beatty and Glaser) that could get the job done at Ballard. Only time will tell!
  20. I feel for you! I know that was a tuff lose for you and the X fans. I was fortunate enough to be on the other side of the score in that Championship Game! I’m sure as happy I was watching my son celebrate on the field, you were as upset for your son! Looking forward to a great game by two quality teams. Good luck, but GO ROCKS! #18.
  21. Very well put! I like all your points! But you know where stand on who wins... GO ROCKS! #18
  22. I know this is hard to do! But you are going to have to pick someone in this game...
  23. The game played out in the end much the way I suspected. The passing game that Boone threw at us in the 1st quarter caught us off guard. Once we made the adjustments needed, it came down to Trinity’s team speed which Boone had no answer for. No disrespect to Boone! You played hard and your fan support was fantastic... GO ROCKS! #18
  24. Very cool! I have seen this done at the college and even the NFL level. But not at the High School level. Boone County has fine young men playing football for great Parents. Congrats!!
