  1. I don't understand your comments “live on campus”, “real world”, “go home afterwards”! I'm simply saying from personal experience, we prepare for each and every team we play the same way... with respect. GO Rocks! #19!
  2. Good post jimmyref! I have always enjoyed your game insights. I feel that is the reason this rivalry is unmatched. It's to bad someone has to loose. Have a great holiday season and GO ROCKS! #19!
  3. Trinity NEVER disrespects another team!! SK will represent very well! Rocks will be focused in film tomorrow and prepare during the week, just like every other week! That is the difference in St. Matthews (Title Town). Go Rocks! #19!
  4. GO Rocks! #19! I usually end with this sign-off! Just had to throw this in. First, congrats to the Tigers for a great season!! Now, that first half was incredible play calling by Cov and Coach B. The Rocks played great! I will take Tim (Superman) Phillips any day of the week over the long run... The tigers made great adjustments in the third quarter, but the Rocks settled down in the fourth to seal the victory. Congrats to all the Rocks for another game for the ages!!! Lets finish business with a win against a very good Simon Kenton team on Saturday.
  5. You are correct! We have not blitz this season. There is a package in place. You just never know when it might show its head... GO ROCKS! #19!
  6. I have been out of town... Sorry for the late response. I am very happy to see that you are working on the possibility of playing home and away with our JV's. What about on the Freshman level? In 2002, my oldest son played on the last team to face the Bruins at the freshman level. It was a great game and fun for the fans on both side... Again, good luck with your building process and we will see you next year! I think we can agree with officiating. Sometimes things are missed...
  7. X in a big way! See you at the Pizza Palace...
  8. Coach J! I was impressed with the job you were doing throughout the season before I read your post. Now, i'm convinced you will be successful with your program at Ballard. Good luck in the off-season and we will see you next year! Will Ballard, under your leadership, return to playing our Freshman and JV teams?
  9. Rocks are focused and ready to play! The Eagles will be a great test. A healthy O-line has improved with each rep. I look for Cameron Smyth to have his best game of the season. Superman, Tim Phillips will carry the pigskin for big yardage. Defense is dominating the line and Jordan Whiting will pickup where he left off with Ballard. Since dropping 12 pounds after the X game he has been lighting people up. All this will lead to a rematch with Tigers... GO ROCKS! #19!
  10. Enthusiasm! You have to be kidding! There are lots of other ways to create enthusiasm. It's plain and simple, no respect or class by the coaches and players. All that it gets Lafayette is a major beat down. FYI! After the game when the players traditionally shake hands and go to their team huddles on the field, with the score board reading 65-0, the Lafayette players tried to huddle on the Power T at midfield. The 100 plus Rocks had to make a wall and slowly move them away with no incidents before running to the student section celebration. I just don't get it!! Safe travels back to Lexington... GO ROCKS! #19!
  11. I have been busy! Sorry for the late post! What a fantastic game played by the Tigers. You really took us to the wood shed! X's offense mixed it up really well and kept us off balance and guessing most of the night. I was pleased with the way we moved the ball on offense, only to shoot our selves in the foot. Not to take anything away from St.X, but loosing our center and two linemen really hurt us with all the holding calls. St. X was quicker and hit harder than the Rocks. I have faith that T's coaching staff will fix the problems and get much better. The Rocks players have to get much more meaner. Hopefully, we will meet again. If so, it should be a great game. Again! Congrats to the St. X Tigers on a great performance!!! GO ROCKS! #19
  12. My son played from 02-06 and they never had black uniforms for varsity! I think you are refering to the freshman uniforms. They were purchased ONLY for the Freshman three years ago. Here is a brief history lesson about our uniforms... When Jim Kennedy (1966-72) was coaching he brought an outline of sky blue to the numbers and a strip on the sleeves of the traditional green and white to honor Flaget after they closed in 1974. In 1978 when Dennis Lampley had the head coaching job, the blue disappeared from the uniform and remained green and white only. in 2006 the Rocks added for the first time, a highlight of black to what is now the current uniform. Over the years the pants have been white, gray and currently silver. So, with that said, varsity has never wore black uniforms. I hope this clears everything up on this issue. Be safe and have a great time at the game tonight. Our group will start the evening at 3:30 today... GO ROCKS! #19!

  14. Good points taken! BUT Cinn. St. X is not the same team without their QB, who was hurt on the last series of the T game. All I’m saying is this defense is much deeper and quicker than the last three teams which gave up all those points. They rotate fresh quality players on almost every play. This will be a great game. Good luck to you and your team... GO ROCKS! #19!
  15. Yes! Kapfhammer, #62 is out with a broken foot. It happened on the last play for the starters in the Eastern Game! I feel for the kid. Great work ethic and great family. Riley, #54 is the backup and he is also out with a concussion. Danial Kuntz, #68 will be center tomorrow and he is an outstanding senior lineman. GO ROCKS! #19!
  16. 35,000+! Some are saying maybe 40,000 because of the beautiful weather and the game is so evenly matched...
  17. Those wheels didn't fall off they were blown off! There was a noticable difference in speed and strength! It seemed that the Rocks had St. X's offense scouted perfectly. The spread offense by Trinity had the tigers confused and out of position all night. The T quarterback was under control and made great passes. The T defense flew to the ball. I was told this was one of thw best freshman teams T has ever had, and it showed. The crowd was awesome. Seemed like a full house! It was great to see some old friends from both catholic powers. Two down and two to go! GO ROCKS! #19!
  18. Jimmyref! I agreed with everything you had to say until you gave St.X 31 points in this game! I have been watching T football for 35+ years and this defense might be one of the best ever! Only time will tell... GO ROCKS! #19!
  19. With such great quality football, it brings out football fans not related or connected to Trinity or St. X. And where else can you tailgate with or have some of your best friends be an enemy for one night! Got to luv it! GO ROCKS! #19!
  20. Thanks for your support! I will also be in attendance! This is always a great week for both schools... GO ROCKS! #19!
  21. Congrats to the JV Rocks on a hard hitting, hard fought win! One down and three to go. Both teams had bright spots, but made critical mistakes at important times in the game. #3 for T runs hard, but had trouble holding onto the ball at times when fighting for extra yards. Kragthorpe looks to be the QB at varsity for the next two years. I really liked the athleticism of #2 for the Rocks. X had a good running back in #2. I hope he is ok. He went down with what appeared to be a knee injury on X's last drive. On defense, Trinity's #30, #31,#40, #49 and #90 seemed to stand out. in the red zone, both defenses settled in and played solid. Hats off to T's goal line stand and a great 3rd down call by Trinity's offense to get the 1st down on the last possession of the game to run the clock out and seal the victory. GO ROCKS! #19
  22. Te JV kicker for Trinity, Nick Robertson is the backup on Varsity. He is 6' 5" and really gets his leg in to it!
  23. “NFL Films to Feature Trinity vs. St. Xavier Game! Louisville, KY – Trinity High School has granted the National Football League license to film the high school football game between Trinity and St. Xavier on Friday, Oct. 3 at 8 p.m. at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. NFL Films will feature the contest on the CBS network as its “game of the week” on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m., providing worldwide coverage to Louisville’s “fall classic.” In addition to game footage and commentary, ancillary school activities at school during the week of the game, practice footage and interviews with coaches and players will comprise a documentary the NFL plans to produce.” It’s about time this game is seen on a national level! This is always a great game! I think the difference maker will be Trinity’s balanced attack on offense and Cameron Smyth’s threat to run. Also, the depth on the defensive side of the ball. Score: Trinity 24 – St.X 10. GO ROCKS! #19!
  24. Congrats Rocks on a solid district shutout win on the road sandwiched between two St. X teams! This could have been a so called trap game! Looked a little flat in pre-game and the first half of the first quarter. Beatty got the attention of the players and we took care of business! Man! Cameron Smyth is elusive on the field!!! The Eagles had some very fine athletes and should fare well the rest of the season. There were some very strange calls in the game... But I won’t go in to it! For us, it’s on to Pride Week! Should be another great game between the two catholic powers. GO ROCKS! #19!
