What do you love about the T vs X game?

 

Scores and predictions aside, what is it about this game? Have any fav memories that has noting to do with who won or the score? Talgating stories, first time thoughts on your first game?

 

Lets here them.

The history of the game.

I love that as great as the athletic ability of the players is, their character is greater.

With such great quality football, it brings out football fans not related or connected to Trinity or St. X. And where else can you tailgate with or have some of your best friends be an enemy for one night! Got to luv it! GO ROCKS! #19!

In no particular order, off the top of my head...

• Reuniting with old friends and family...on both sides of the field.
  
• Seeing kids I know playing...on both sides of the field.
  
• Being a part of something really special....and knowing I was a part of it.
  
• Quality football.
  
• The pre-game prayer, I get chills when virtually everyone in the stadium bows their head and prays together. There's no other game I know of where that happens.
  
• The girls school's half-time dance routines...it makes it almost inclusive of all the Catholic high schools. Wish there was a way Holy Cross & DeSales could be a part of it.
  
• Seeing players related to each other, or former teammates in grade school approach each other after the game and hug each other.
  
• The fact that this game brings together opponents as friends like no other.
  
• Seeing little baby boys and girls decked out in their Trinity/X gear.
  
• Watching little boys decked out in Trinity/X gear years before they'll ever step foot in either school as freshmen, tossing footballs in the parking lot before and after the game.
  
• Tailgating.
  
• Remembering my son's hopes and dreams when he played for Trinity.
  
• Reliving memories that go back almost 30 years, for me, of games throughout the years.

For me it is the crowd. The crowd second to none every year including all state final games.

It's the biggest high school football game in the country...That's all that needs to be said.

This is really what I was going to go with.

 

1 - you have a stadium lieterally divided with green and yellow, and green and white it is so cool.

 

2 - the roars that come from big plays give me chills, as it is now....very, very cool

 

 

I played in this game 3 times, and I will never forget that experience.

I make no judgements... but personally, I can think of few things I'd be less inclined to enjoy watching than the DeSales dance team.
