Towles and Sheehan both had huge interceptions for the Birds. These picks were game changing and stopped the Camels' O-line drives. Camels will be a force at the Varsity level. It would be good to see these two teams scheduled in a of couple years. A blockbuster game played by both teams. The 5-0 Birds face Dixie, at Highlands next Thrus at 5pm

Both teams are packed with talent on both sides of the ball. But ... the Birds win at home. Game is at 6pm, should be the blockbuster game of Thrusday night.:thumb:

Don't change a thing, I like the hometown feel of the DCMStadium. Last week at the Frosh game, my Dad and I talked about how much has changed since he played for the Birds back in 40's. The locker room, the stands, Dad calls the Basketball Gym, the "New Gym". As we walked across the field he paused and said with a laugh "the grass is alot greener and a whole lot softer". OK, the little things can change.

KIDS DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME. If you want to try trick riding, stick to the rodeo.

Holmes has about 10 less on the roster as the Birds. I don't see the individual SIZE of Colerain either. Back in the day; Holmes ran a triple option offense, it wasn't real effective for the Dogs. The Dogs no doubt have speed, but the Birds defense is very daunting. Good Luck to both teams.

Alot of players POP the ball out, wrapping the runner from the elbows/small of the back area. Better technique IMO.

As a parent, none of us wanted to see this type of injury. We were shocked the NCC coaches and refs did not help this boy out more. We could tell he was very hurt as he came off the field. He is a man's man, left the game and later left the field all on this own power. This young man will be missed for certain. I think there is a picture of him, on another site, in a happier moment after the Breds scored.

I amoung all others know that in four years the development of a team changes due to transfers, players choosing another sport, serious injuries and impact players even die. I have seen players develop into starters when as freshman they didn't play many downs. Yes my friend the landscape changes for us all, but I see alot of depth and determination in my team as do you with yours. Good luck to both teams.

Frosh Birds are going to make a BIG presence in this game. If this series will be continued at the varsity level, I am affraid it will be a loooong four years for the Breds. Good Luck to both teams!
