Habits on the practice field usually find their way on the game field. From posts, these players play hard and with some heart, but maybe they are lacking focus or intensity in practice. If you arent focused then the little things arent being improved and corrected. They can be going full speed but not have a goal or purpose. That could be some causes of penalties and the lack of cohesion in the offense. Good luck Royals

I have enjoyed central kentucky football this year. In past years their has been three possible contenders for state titles in Central Kentucky, (Danville, Boyle Co, Lex Cath) but this year has seen the emergence of Mercer as a legitimate threat combined with the rising of the Lincoln Co team. Add in Henry Clay in 4A, there seems to be alot of chances for teams to go far in the playoffs and have a real shot. I look for 2 out of the 4 titles to come in just the Danville Area, with Danville in 1A and Mercer in 2A. One last thought, in the Danville area i feel like all four of the top teams in this area would have played each other very very tough. Couldnt say that in forever.

Athletically they seem to be very similar, but Frankfort does take plays off. Danville seems to be mentally tougher at this point in the season, combined with acouple weeks of easy action to rest starter, and injuries, i look for the Ads to roll. Frankfort will need an ultimate effort to win this, but most likely will keep it within 2 touchdowns. Danville- 45 Frankfort-21

Hesley runs the veer option and it needs poor defenses to work against. Problem is that Lexington football has gotten better, and those inept teams are no where to be found. For his philosophy, he wants to spread the defense wide and dive it, but people arent respecting the pass, Dunbar might as well get in one power formation and actually get good at it Si es verdad

Lafayette will get rolled and that is because Henry Clay is just really good this year. Plus district title is on the line so it should be pretty heated. Henry Clay-52 Lafayette-35

You are right it also applies to field goals i believe, when i played way back when the umpire would always yell stay off the snapper, he gets special protection just like punters, kickers, QBs after the throw, to protect their safety in vulnerable positions.

Its going to be a couple weeks into the playoffs till Mercer even has to play their starters a whole game.

I think Boyle is still diving it up the middle.... any district win is a good win despite how it was achieved. The play calling needs help, it reminds me of "the Waterboy" when they are using plays from "A Complete Idiots guide to Football" and the opposing coach is reading the book on the opposite sidelines. He dives it up the middle all first half and then the second half he comes out a runs a TE reverse three times in one drive, and never goes back to it. 3rd and 16 and we run a WR screen, that about sums it up. Marion has a decent team and they will likely play again in the first round of the playoffs so maybe we wanted to show them nothing offensively. Boyle's defense was outstanding tonight and they fly around the ball. Hester has got that unit motivated, Marion was 1 for 16 passing with 2 INTs. Also Boyle was penalized for 100 more yards than Marion, that had alot to do with the offense because if you dive it 3 plays in a row you cant have mental mistakes and negative yardage. Boyle will get them at Boyle in the playoffs, so i think more fans will show up, plus "fair weather fans" applies here literally because it was cold.

Then the next week they scored like 14 against Boyle. The week after Draughn got USA Today Player of the Week.

If they show up to the field, they win by atleast four touchdowns

I think Highlands will probably get it this year. Trinity has to deal with tough Male and St. X teams and Henry Clay. AAAA playoffs are going to be interesting this year.

Boyle wins by 2 touchdowns. It should be a close game and in the cold weather, the passing game might be affected. It could come down to whomever can run the ball more effectively, which i would think gives Marion a big advantage. Boyle 28 Marion 14

Not only does he have 200 wins but he has also coached Coach Buchanon from Mason and i believe Chuck Smith was one of his assistants. Correct me if im wrong or if there are others, but that seems to be an impressive legacy. This turn around of Lincoln might be his greatest achievements, because they were in football puragotory before he arrived.

I dont think you can call blow outs flukes. Maybe they could have played them closer, but you cant justify BE beating Central because some other team played Central close. Central will probably be #1 and i hope BE gets the 2 spot, so they can play each other again in the playoffs. Once/if BE beats them then we can start talking shenanigans.

They do need to practice it in game situations but the also a reason is so that they can get to that magical 45 point margin at half, so there is a running clock second half. You will be hard pressed to find many starters in after the 45 point margin is reached (maybe 1st series of 2nd half).

Amazing what bringing a 1-5 team into town with its only win against Taylor Co. can do. Im sure the coaches and the players have their goals set alot higher than this game. Its nice to see them win, but in all honesty this game didnt really show us anything new about the team besides the fact that they are better than a 2-5 record (strength of schedule).

The 99 champs had 3 seniors, the 03 had like 5 too. Talent does come in cycles but Boyle has always had about 2 or 3 great players surrounded by solid team players. I see this team no different then the rest, talent wise, which means something else is lacking.

Once again you maintaint the stance that you know more about everything than anybody. The arrogance....sshhheeesshhh. The facts were straight.... they lost! That is the fact, im sorry some kids are sick, injured, etc. but Boyle has always won with injuries. Its nothing new and it should not be used as an excuse.

Im pretty sure it is more obvious than "right in the back". If the head is behind and/or the hands are on the back than it is block in the back, and the rule doesnt specify whether or not refs call it if they see the whole act, thats more of a guideline.... I dont know for sure though
