It wasnt a shirt but on a sign, "Fight till hell freezes over, then prepare to fight on the ice."

I think Boyle is still diving it up the middle.... any district win is a good win despite how it was achieved. The play calling needs help, it reminds me of "the Waterboy" when they are using plays from "A Complete Idiots guide to Football" and the opposing coach is reading the book on the opposite sidelines. He dives it up the middle all first half and then the second half he comes out a runs a TE reverse three times in one drive, and never goes back to it. 3rd and 16 and we run a WR screen, that about sums it up. Marion has a decent team and they will likely play again in the first round of the playoffs so maybe we wanted to show them nothing offensively. Boyle's defense was outstanding tonight and they fly around the ball. Hester has got that unit motivated, Marion was 1 for 16 passing with 2 INTs. Also Boyle was penalized for 100 more yards than Marion, that had alot to do with the offense because if you dive it 3 plays in a row you cant have mental mistakes and negative yardage. Boyle will get them at Boyle in the playoffs, so i think more fans will show up, plus "fair weather fans" applies here literally because it was cold.

When scoring 10 TDs is a good thing

Then the next week they scored like 14 against Boyle. The week after Draughn got USA Today Player of the Week. -
Taylor Co/Southwestern Predictions and talk
HitStick replied to super's topic in KY Football (High School)
If they show up to the field, they win by atleast four touchdowns -
I think Highlands will probably get it this year. Trinity has to deal with tough Male and St. X teams and Henry Clay. AAAA playoffs are going to be interesting this year.

Boyle Co. at Marion Co. predictions
HitStick replied to Rebel88's topic in KY Football (High School)
Boyle wins by 2 touchdowns. It should be a close game and in the cold weather, the passing game might be affected. It could come down to whomever can run the ball more effectively, which i would think gives Marion a big advantage. Boyle 28 Marion 14 -
I got two poses for you all.... the THINKER...and.....the STINKER

Didnt Begley at Boyle set some National kicking records? He was the most consistent that UK has had in a long while.
-
Wont they both be in 5A next year? The connections are troubling:creepy: :creepy:

Not only does he have 200 wins but he has also coached Coach Buchanon from Mason and i believe Chuck Smith was one of his assistants. Correct me if im wrong or if there are others, but that seems to be an impressive legacy. This turn around of Lincoln might be his greatest achievements, because they were in football puragotory before he arrived.

I dont think you can call blow outs flukes. Maybe they could have played them closer, but you cant justify BE beating Central because some other team played Central close. Central will probably be #1 and i hope BE gets the 2 spot, so they can play each other again in the playoffs. Once/if BE beats them then we can start talking shenanigans.
-
They do need to practice it in game situations but the also a reason is so that they can get to that magical 45 point margin at half, so there is a running clock second half. You will be hard pressed to find many starters in after the 45 point margin is reached (maybe 1st series of 2nd half).

Amazing what bringing a 1-5 team into town with its only win against Taylor Co. can do. Im sure the coaches and the players have their goals set alot higher than this game. Its nice to see them win, but in all honesty this game didnt really show us anything new about the team besides the fact that they are better than a 2-5 record (strength of schedule).
-
Once again you maintaint the stance that you know more about everything than anybody. The arrogance....sshhheeesshhh. The facts were straight.... they lost! That is the fact, im sorry some kids are sick, injured, etc. but Boyle has always won with injuries. Its nothing new and it should not be used as an excuse.

Football Officials Responsibilities
HitStick replied to Mr.Network's topic in KY Football (High School)
Im pretty sure it is more obvious than "right in the back". If the head is behind and/or the hands are on the back than it is block in the back, and the rule doesnt specify whether or not refs call it if they see the whole act, thats more of a guideline.... I dont know for sure though -
Death Valley is crazy when the fog rolls in.... The Patriots roll just like the fog LC 31 GRC 17

That may be true but look for a quick playoff exit for either team... write it down.

The Tony Franklin Offense and Self-Help Series
HitStick replied to EKU_05's topic in KY Football (High School)
The system can win alot of games that dont matter, but once you come against a fundamentally sound defense that knows what it is doing and gets all 11 helmets to the ball....it is done for. The system might get you to late November but dont look at it to win you any state championships. Just look at Texas Tech... they can put up 60+ plus on bad Big 12 teams, but against a good Oklahoma/Texas/TCU team look at the to put up less than 14 points. I see that as an indictment as to the fact that the system preys on unprepared defenses, but doesnt get you prepared for the big game. -
Just a note... I have heard people on BGP say wait till the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grades get up to varsity and mature.... they all lost this week with blowouts at Lex. Cath. (JV), and Danville (middle school). This might be a perpetual cycle, because i think this is a blatant indictment of the fact that talent can carry you only so far. Time for the coaches to start coaching like they did 3 years ago and players to start working like they did 3 years ago. Whether or not anyone likes it, BC is 1-5 and equal blame is to go around.

Estill will loose by atleast 3 touchdowns. -
Its going to be neither, a blow out for Henry Clay. Henry Clay is the best Lexington team this year and they are going to make a statement. Henry Clay-45 Tates Creek-14

What would coach Pardue have to do to be deemed successful?
HitStick replied to Oldbird's topic in KY Football (High School)
that sophmore jumped in because there was no upperclassmen, literally. A La 3 seniors and very few juniors in 1999. And yes those classes will be good! But, less talented classes can make up for it in hard work and dedication, which i guess is the big question for this years team. The ship will be righted by Pardue, i just wish he would call his own plays again. -
After cooler heads prevail that might be the issue.
