  1. Personally, it seemed to me that our coaches did a good job firing us up for games against big teams. I enjoyed going into a game as the under dog more than going into a game that we were supposed to win. That is where playing with "nothing to lose" comes in.
  2. I think this one will be closer than some might think Corbin 69 Pineville 65
  3. I guess this year will be a true test of the Corbin coaching abilities then eh? Guess we'll see if they can take a team full of talent and do something with it.
  4. Great game from Josh Smith, hopefully he will play that way the rest of the season.
  5. Brent West and Jason Macdaniel from Corbin both put in TONS of time and effort as assistant coaches.
  6. Corbin keeps showing improvement. The Hounds will be rolling on all cylinders come district/region time.
  7. I didn't know Adair was as good as they were, they played us pretty good tonight. Good win for the Hounds, and I have to congratulate Hamlin also on the game winner. Keep it up hounds!
  8. I thought this was about the worst game Corbin has played this year and they still beat Whitley by 21.
  9. Corbin will dominate Whitley again. 81-49
  10. Saying Corbin has better facilities is in no way bad mouthing the baseball coach. I just think when a player leaves a school to go to a better program it ticks off the people of the community for no real good reason. If he has a chance to have a better career at Corbin, then why be mad that he left?
  11. Very inspiring....anyway, Corbin by a lot.
  12. I know at Corbin both football and basketball teams have to be clean shaven/short hair. The football coaches allow mustaches but nothing else, not sure why that is. I guess cause Coach Jewell has a mustache himself.
  13. I was listening on the radio and it sounded like Crawford was nowhere around that third foul.
  14. There is always a slight advantage for the home team in big tournaments but I wouldn't go as far to say Corbin has cheated any team.
  15. A tie is like kissing your sister.
  16. I am neither from Russell or Mercer and I have to agree with UKCATSFAN. Russell should have won that ball game.
  17. I voted no simply because its a ridiculous poll.
  18. How is Crawford coming into the game. Is he 100%?
  19. Lets see how far they make it next year.
  20. I don't see the Hounds goin 10-0, however it would be a pleasant surprise if they did. Once again I think the Hounds have one of the toughest (if not THE toughest) non district schedule out of any AA team in Kentucky. Should do a great job of preparing them for the playoffs. I don't know about everyone else but I can't wait for next football season, it will for sure be an exciting year for the Redhounds!
  21. Russell almost pulled off the huge upset, I'm proud of the Russell seniors and they should know that they were the best 2a football team in Kentucky this year. So sorry they didn't come away with another ring, what a shame.
  22. I know Mercer is the big favorite here but I would love to see Russell pull the HUGE upset in this David vs. Goliath matchup against a team that should be playing in a higher division. Russell 28 Mercer 21 Get after 'em Red Devils!!!
  23. Yea, but Mercer gets to pick their 11 from 900...
  24. I know it is just for one year but you have to think about the seniors from other 2a schools who have worked so hard for as long as they have played football in an attempt to get to the state championship game to have it taken from them by a team that should be playing in a bigger division. Its a shame really. If my team was beaten my senior year in a situation like this, I would be extremely angry.
