Saint Xavier/Ryle Predictions
Good point! They are big, they are ugly, and by the way they have great speed.:sssh:

Western Hills/Central Predictions
I think Western Hills must not allow Central the big plays on offense in this one. They can beat Central with ball control and long scoring drives. I just do not think this will happen. I do not think Central is as good as they have been in the past two years but their playoff drives are built on a tough regular season schedules. This year appears to be no different. Central 28 Western Hills 7.

Saint Xavier/Ryle Predictions
I have not seen Highlands play this year. I have seen Ryle play Simon Kenton on Fox Sports South. I think St. Xavier will prevail. As far as speed, this year St. Xavier team has what I call "football speed". They have their share of the track stars who can run the 40s and 100s in great times. But they also have the ability to just run down ball carriers on defense, they take great angles to the ball, and they can cut and go on offense without losing a step, and the line can really get out in front of the backs when needed. I am glad we will be getting some players back for this game. We will need them against this Ryle team. I am really impressed with the tight end play of Ryle as well as the QB and RBs.

Saint Xavier/Ryle Predictions
I am really looking forward to tonight's game. I really enjoy it when St. Xavier hosts an out of town team in the playoffs. I enjoy it almost as much as traveling to an out of town school for a playoff game. It is going to be a great night for football and I hope the Ryle fans come in force to support their Raiders. I look forward to seeing them in person. Have a safe trip down.

Simon Kenton/Manual Predictions
I believe SK is for real. Their record speaks for itself. My brain says SK wins at home by 7 to 14 points. However my gut says Manual wins by 3 and gets the upset. I believe Manual's desire to get back to Louisville and avenge an earlier loss this year to St. Xavier, one that the Crimson's will tell you they thought they should have one, will be the drive they need to get the upset in NKY. I also get the feeling from reading these boards that SK may be looking past Manual which is a big mistake.

Guy Morriss/Boyle County???
Take it easy fellas. I just posted a link to a new story. It confirms he did interview and not just visit and talk. His wife also had some interesting comments. I hope he does come to Boyle. It is a win win in my opinion.

WKU for championships?
My opinion. The championships will move to Bowling Green with corporate sponsorship after next year due to Big East Conflicts. By the way, I already have a quarter (To call someone who cares).

Is Recruiting Going On At Your School? I Think It Should Be.
That is interesting. It is the opposite of what I think most schools experience.

Is Recruiting Going On At Your School? I Think It Should Be.
Another question? Does your team gain or lose players from the numbers playing their freshman year to the numbers playing their senior year. I know at St. Xavier the numbers drop off from the number of freshman on the freshman team to the time these players are seniors.

Highlands 28 Bowling Green 7
Congratulations Blue Birds. I picked Bowling Green in this one because I did not want to see them lose three in a row. To much speed, quickness and strength exhibited by Highlands in this one. It was a great game to watch. Highlands' QB played excellent with both his legs and arm. Those passes were the ugliest most beautiful throws.

Central 27 Belfry 17
Congrats Central. I enjoyed every minute of the game. After seeing Central lose at home to Bowling Green last year in a game I thought they should have won I knew they would be back. Congratulations.

The Negative Impact of the 6 Class System
I would not describe myself as a cynical old fart but I at first thought it was a little watered down when it was first implemented. I still do not believe in everyone should get a trophy and that there are lessons in both wining and losing. However, as the year has progressed and watching what is going on in the divisions I like the new found spirit in some teams I see. Do not get me wrong I do not want 7A, 8A, or 9A and I do not especially like everyone in the playoffs their is merit in what you say about more kids playing as long as possible and a renewed spirit in some teams. I think 6 divisions has turned out to be just right.

Is Recruiting Going On At Your School? I Think It Should Be.
Do your coaches recruit within their own school's four walls? Are there kids in the school not playing football who could help the team? Are they not playing because of the non success of the program? Are they not playing because other teams they are members of will not allow them to? I know in a couple of the schools in my area there are students who attend the school but do not play football. They could be good, and at one time were, good football players. They have told me that they have never talked to the coach and do not play because the school has not been successful in football and the community (student, teachers, fans) do not seem to care. In other instances the athletes participated in baseball and basketball and were encouraged not to participate in football. They were participating in off season activities with these other teams and team members and did not want to risk losing their spot on these teams. What are your thoughts?
