Mayfield was just as dominating with their state championship opponent as Highlands. Would this be a close game or does one dominate the other as they did in each of their divisions?
-
Could Highlands stop the one two running punch and big play offense of Fort Campbell? Does Fort Campbell's speed keep up with the speed of the Falcons?
-
Could Highlands beat this four seed so improved at the end of the year? How do their schedules match up? Does this western Kentucky school go toe to toe with the northern Kentucky power?
-
Who would win?:idunno: Lexington Christian has the offence. Could Highlands defence stop them? Could Lexington Christian stop the Highlands offence?

Who wins this mythical match up? Both have a great running attack. Would it be decided on defence? Do we look to common opponents? I am not sure.:idunno: What do you say?

I believe the score in the fourth quarter was 14 - 7. Has Trinity not improved? Have they not improved 25 points? -

Is there any that they do have an advantage in? We all know St. Xavier cannot match the x's and o's. -
Who is this year's Mr. Football winner?
LUCK replied to billwilliams70's topic in KY Football (High School)
Miles Simpson from Simon Kenton will win it, although I was not impressed with his effort against St. Xavier. -
6A Final: Trinity/St. Xavier Predictions
LUCK replied to Birdsfan's topic in KY Football (High School)
Tony, Jim, and others, do you not think in at least the last two years Trinity run has been a tale of two teams, Regular Season Trinity and Playoff Trinity? No knocks or sandbagging. From the regular season game with St. Xavier to the playoff game with St. Xavier, Trinity is different offensively with a better running attack and less turnovers, they are different defensively with a stiffer defense aganinst the run, and personell has changed on both sides of the ball for the better. -

Jim, Tony, I apologize for causing any conlflict between you!!! It is causing me great emotional stress knowing that I may have you fighting amongst yourselves. (Now that is sandbagging):thumb: -
With the number of fans UofL is drawing, the KHSAA should reserve Papa John's and UofL could play at St. Xavier, Trinity, Manual, or Central depending on the number of losses they have going into the game.

Coaches (having to use personal time or) not being allowed...
LUCK replied to okie1's topic in KY Football (High School)
If money, budget, teachers missing school, and students missing school were a concern why do they have games during shool hours on Friday? Let me answer that. It is not a concern. Schools have in their budgets monies for substitutes for various reasons. Schools have built in days for make up of missed days so students are not shorted on hours. -

6A Final: Trinity/St. Xavier Predictions
LUCK replied to Birdsfan's topic in KY Football (High School)
St. Xavier has won its last two playoff games with the help of contriversial calls (pass interference call against Simon Kenton and fumble not called against Greenwood). Their quarterback limped through the game at Greenwood and only shared time against Simon Kenton. The defense still hampered by injuries was slashed through by both the running and passing games of their previous two playoff opponents. The offense was unimaginative and the passing game at best was simple. Trinity has dominated its playoff opponents. Coach Beatty's innovative attack has teams on their heels defensively at this time of year. With the rushing performance in their last game to go along with the passing game that befuddles most defenses the Trinity Shamrocks are repeating their time honored march through the playoffs as so craftily engineered by Coach Beatty. The early losses taken by Trinity are meaningless and the team now on the field bears no resemblence to the team that took those losses. This is a tale of two teams, regular season Trinity and Playoff Trinity. Even the mighty Highland Bluebirds would have a tough time with Playoff Trinity. The St. Xavier squad will have to revamp itself this week in order to have a chance at stopping Playoff Trinity in its quest for number 5. I am sure St. Xavier coach Mike Glaser and staff are seeking advice from others to figure out this new Playoff Trinity squad. It will be, as it has been, a daunting task for St. Xaveir to compete with Trinity on the playoff stage. -
Has Highlands ever beat St. Xavier or Trinity? Not looking to stir the pot. Just a history lesson. I know in the most recent history when they played they have not (in the case of St. Xavier). Does anyone know the record between the two louisville schools and Highlands? I have not seen Highlands play this year but they are being compared to some of the best Highland teams. I respect them tremendously for their playing up a division and their take on anyone scheduling. I believe they would compete with both St. Xavier and Trintiy this year. As for who would win the games, I will leave up to the chrystal ball gazers.

HHS teams get better and better. -
The KHSAA allows players from other states to play on Kentucky teams why wouldn't they let KY teams play in other states.:thumb::sssh:

Who me? :idunno: Seriously though: 1. Highlands 2. Bowling Green 3. John Hardin 4. Pulaski County I have not seen any of these teams play this year. From all the BGP posts I do not see anyone beating Highlands in 5A or Trinity in 6A playoffs this year. Wish they would have met late in the season. John Hardin is getting respect and love here in Louisville press. I will give Pulaski County some love, I wish them luck.
