  1. Woodford County by about 7 years. They make good bourbon there.
  2. I give the edge to North Oldham. I think they are better than last year. Moore, I jus do not know what team will show up. 28 - 7.
  3. I go with Bethlehem at home in this one. However, if I were voting on a rematch in the future I would vote the other way. Bethlehem 28 Fortn Knox 24.
  4. Russsell will prevail but closer than many think. 21 - 20 final.
  5. Colonels' defense is the factor. They win 14 - 7.
  6. Raceland wins at home. Boyd puts up a good fight but just not enough. 21 - 17 final.
  7. Walton Verona. No district wins last year but I like their linebacking crew this year. There D will be tougn.
  8. Holy Cross a little too much offense. They win by a touchdown.
  9. Holy Cross wins by one on the road. Their defense is the edge.
  10. Ashland by 17. Speed is the determining factor.
  11. I see Trinity at number one, where is Highlands ranked?
  12. Just study and observation PepRock01, just study and observation.
  13. You shamrocks always seem to get the best and most talented one legged hobbits available. I hear you are ranked number one in the one legged kicking contest. :notworthy:
  14. Only boring for the team being blown out. If my team isn't playing, I prefer a competitive game. If my team is playing, I prefer a blowout. My team winning of course.
  15. No sandbagging here, just study and observation. This is preseason number one through ten.
  16. I use all those up for the Trinity game each year.
  17. How St. Xavier can be ranked over Trinity is beyond me. According to everyone Trinity is loaded with talent and the coaching staff that just keeps them improving. This 6A top ten ranking is one of the toughest to compile, after placing Trinity at number one, as I have seen in awhile. Henry Clay comes into the jungle Friday night for a scrimmage against the St. Xavier Tigers for an early match up of top ten teams making the list. The Northern Kentucky powers Ryle and Simon Kenton should be much improved over last year's very good teams. The Jefferson County teams are loaded with Division 1 talent and appear to be amassing strong role players around them. Scott County, as has been repeated often in recent history, is again set to make a run. I see some real competetive football on the horizon in 6A.
  18. Ryle was pumped up for last years playoff game at St. Xavier and despite the loss I feel they have big momentum going into this year. The visiting fans I got to meet were a class act and although disappointed with the loss were extremely proud of their team and very optimistic about the future. This will probably be a Ryle victory but I voted for the CCH Colonel's because I am afraid it might be a sin to vote against my fellow Catholics.
  19. Per Merriam-Webster's Online Dictionary Pronunciation: \bi-ˈləvd, -ˈlə-vəd, bē-\ Function: adjective Etymology: Middle English, from past participle of beloven to love, from be- + loven to love Date: 14th century : dearly loved : dear to the heart — beloved noun Why Jim, I didn't know you cared!:idunno: I would rank the rock's schedule a close second to Manual's. Both face some traditional powerhouses as well as teams ranked highly this season.
  20. I am hoping also. Reasons: 1. They are in St. Xavier's district and I like seeing their district teams doing well against opponents outside their district. 2. I know kids on Manual's team. 3. I respectfully enjoy seeing Highland's get beat by Kentucky teams. (This is not a knock on Highland's players, fans, coaches, northern Kentucky football, or anything else, just a respect for the program).:thumb:
  21. I am worried as should all in 6A. With the numbers Trinity put on the mighty Highlands team they would seem to be unstoppable. I am concerned about their defense also. Despite the number of points the Bluebirds amassed on the Shamrocks, they probalbly held Highlands to one of their lowest offensive scoring games of the upcoming season.:sssh:
