  1. St. Xavier runs it some in goal line situations.
  2. Is this Ryle team better than last year's Ryle team? If so, how much better? They did not fair so well in Louisville last year.
  3. In Louisville, KY it is the Cathlolic Schools Athletic Association with 3rd and 4th grade, 5th and 6th grade, and 7th and 8th grade leagues. See http://www.csaafootball.com or http://www.loucsaa.org.
  4. No supporter here Jim, just study and observation. You should not need me to "pump you up". This talented team unlike any other Trinity team in the past should be able to do it for you. The Bombers are a real tough Ohio team but they have not faced a team like they will see in St. Matthews on Friday night.
  5. St. Xavier Cincinnati's strengths are defence (the entire defence) and running back. Their weakness is Quarterback. Does not mean the Quarterback is weak just the weakest link in this log chain. Trinity's strength is offense (the entire offence) its weakness is youth but after 3 games into the season the youth as begun to mature and this weakness only strengthens into game tested experience. Both these teams are loaded with talent. This being the best Trinity team of all time only to be surpassed by next year's team, I see Trinity winning this game at home 21 - 14. Send any Ohio team down to Louisville you wish, this Trinity team sends them back accross the Ohio River with a Kentucky loss on their record.
  6. Having seen the St. Xavier Louisville vs. St. Xavier Cincinnati game I do not know what you can read into common opponents. Different teams match up in different ways. Teams, alot of times, match up differently to common opponents. I think this is a case where Trinity has many advantages over the Bombers and will take advantages of those. Trinity's quick pass offense will give the Bombers a lot of difficulties and their defense has enough to hold the Bombers and alow the Trinity offense to prevail.
  7. No suprise here. I was a little shocked that the score was this close. It must have been the youth of the rocks that kept this one was so close but their superior talent pulls them through.
  8. No thats funny. I do not see how the Birds could possibly lose a game this year. I do not see a real formidable challenge left on their 2010 schedule.
  9. Only because they do not play Trinity in the regular season or playoffs.
  10. Middle School football will go a long way in helping. What does Equalizing really mean anyway?
  11. Coach, I did a quick unscientific pole and found that fans on high school message boards are coaches, players, cheerleaders, fans, booster clubs, and adminstrators from all the high schools in Kentucky. How do you define success? If you define success as more kids getting trophies at the end then yes it is a success. My measures of success, and I am not sure that these are the correct measures would be are more kids playing football, is competition better, and are we providing the best opportunities for the student athletes to compete and learn. I am not sure how to measure those successes in the expansion of classes. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the move to six classes was a reaction to quell the stirrings of splitting between privante and public. It has succeeded at that temporarily but the long-term verdict is still out.
  12. I do not see the Elder running back having much success against the speed and talent on the rock defence. Elder will face a ton of athleticism this Friday.
  13. JCPS football is not equalizing. Until someone can beat the Rocks consistently from this season forward there will be no equalization. The best rock team to ever suit up is on the field this season, and it will only be surpassed by next season's rock squad.
  14. The only way this rock team will stall in the redzone against this Ohio Power Elder is if the rocks make a youthful mistake. I am sure the hearalded rock coching staff has tuned up the offence to prevent any stalling from the Manual game forward.
  15. PepRock: Inconsistent? You may have some inconsistent play in your overwhelming victories, but winning big seems to be a constant for this greatest to be of all Rock teams.
  16. To all Elder fans and all other Rock opponents this season, look at what this team has accomplished thus far. Beware if you are a football power house from Indiana, Ohio, or Northern Kentucky, despite playing average football programs from the Louisville area, this Rock team is a national power in the making. Beware of the rock fans in sheep's clothing, this team is a big bad wolf.
  17. DeSales wins 21 - 14. They have too much for Holy Cross and will continue to dominate the series.
  18. Rocks roll 35 - 7. This Rock team is unbelievable. This team is what ledgends are made of.
  19. I do not believe they should strip it. If they do there should be another vote by the Hesman Trophy Trust and reaward the trophy. Is the Heisman Trophy really given to the best "Football Player" every year anyway?
