Franklin County runs "The Tony Franklin System" very well. When Donny Walker was there they were very, very good at it. Even today with a different coach they are still good at it. LCA and Raceland is a client of Franklin system. I think Anderson county does it. Woodford does it. Hazard runs most of it when they are not in the I. Lexington Catholic runs it.

How would they be hiring a coach if on the KHSAA website it says they will take application till Jan. 25th I believe?

I have seen TC play 0 times but people tell me they refuse to throw the ball in the past, just repeating hearsay, it may not be true.

I'm not familar with Joe but is he the guy that requires coaches to run the ball until the cows come home? Was he a former head coach at TC?

Raceland has a chance to make a run next year long with LCA, Hazard, Pikeville, and Lynn Camp. I think the east will be wide open again next year.

One of the LCA recievers knocked the ball up in the air and a LCA lineman caught it. I thought it was fair game to catch once the ball was tipped in the air. Maybe I'm wrong. I know its legal in college.

Raceland vs. LCA 2nd Round was a great game.

Well I guess we should go a head and carve Beechwood on the trophy. Oh, wait I guess that's why they play the game. I think Beechwood should be the favorite, LCA is making their first appearance and should be the underdog. Hopefully this will be the a new rivalry in 1A football.

Breathitt needs for Belfry to turn the ball over. I'll take Belfry by 28.

Does Pikeville practice tomorrow, are they being like other teams and going in the morning?

LCA's offense must control the ball and not have any turnovers. The defense must stop the run and play decent pass defense. If they do they should win by 14.

Mark Scenters would be a good hire for Southern. He would have pride in the school since he is a graduate and he knows what he is talking about when it comes to football. I think he definately deserves a shot at being a head coach. The plus for him would be not having to come in and replace a coach that just had a successful season. Hopefully it would be an easy adjustment because the kids would want to change things.

Question: Did all of these players play against West Carter and Fairview?

The percentage was higher this year in 2 vs. 3 of upsets.

I wonder how this compares to two years ago when districts played other districts? Anyone want to take the time to look it up?

I have to disagree, whoever wins this game will have a chance to beat LCA. Last year everyone thought Raceland would lose to LCA and it didn't happen because of turnovers. LCA has to cut down on turnovers and play decent defense for them to beat either team.

IMO Hazard has to be the favorite for the East with LCA/Pikeville they are pretty close to each other at #2.

To much speed for Hazard and too many turnovers for LCA. Hopefully these teams will rematch at LCA in the semi's.

I'll take LCA by 14 but in Hazard that means LCA needs to be atleast 4 touchdowns better. After watching UK I think anything is possible. I guess thats why the game is played.

IMO, thats a bad decision by the staff to have kids do that after the game. Do they do it after losses as well? I'm guessing not. IMO getting in a circle and doing jumping jacks as a celebration is not a good idea. I don't mind kids getting in a huddle and chanting but circling up is something different.

Did Hazard do jumping jacks after the game?

Have to go through Belfry and Breathitt. Not fair but but I wouldn't guarentee anything.

Hazard is legit. I think they could be #1 or #2 in the East.

Hazard by 28 points they are really athletic.
