Impressive job by Lynn Camp. Without their star player they held one of the better offenses around to 17 points. One can only wonder how much different this game would've been with Roskpof (Sp?)...

I think this proves that that the Lynn Camp, Campbellsville, Williamsburg winner from the playoffs will be able to compete and quiet possibly beat Hazard come region finals time! Good effort Campers, you guys appear to have played very hard despite a heavy blow last week! Playoffs should be a whole lot of fun!

Didn't really expect the game to be close, to be totally honest. I was not really sure how the kids were (emotion wise) after last weeks game. They were more ready than I thought.

I was really happy with LC's performance. 13-3 at the half against one of the best class A teams in the state, just could'nt hold on.

I wasn't real impressed with the Hazard offense I have heard about so much this year. We had a decent defensive game, but Hazard was not a "WOW!" offense tonight.

I do have a question. One of the Hazard players was signaled by an official (not the lead official) as ejected for kicking a kid in the crotch, but came back into the game. What is the rule on who can eject a player? Can an ejection signal be waved off? The whole thing was a little bizarre.

Also, who was the coach in the booth for the Bulldogs who grabbed the p.a. mic and yelled "Way to go Hazard!!!" after the game??? Now THAT caused an ugly scene!!! Never a good move to try that at an opponents home field. If you feel you really have to do something like that, always use the exit on your fans' side of the field. Don't exit right into the home crowd. Not bright at all. A Pepsi bath is always waiting on the other side of the door.

Let me clear something up. It was not a coach that got on the mic, it was a fan. And I agree not a smart thing to do. There were a lot of things that were out of hand on both sides tonight.

Yeah, it was really out of hand when he slapped Coach Mitchell's daughter. The guy was claiming to be the Chief of Police from over there. Apparently if you're a ranking public official you can hit girls when they tell you that you shouldn't be in the opposing teams' press box. I watched that spectacle in shock and dismay.

In other news, the Hitmen did a good job staying in the game and fighting through the some really questionable officiating against a team that they weren't supposed to be able to compete with.

Impressive performance from Lynn Camp, but on the other side, Williamsburg looks like the No. 1 seed in District 6 and they were pushed to overtime by Evarts, the No. 4 seed in District 7.

Would it be possible to go ahead and arrest morons like that BEFORE the game? I wonder if we could get some legislation going for that, then MAYBE real fans could enjoy the game.

As far as taking a knee at the end while time is on the clock, if a team is down by 4, the ball is at mid feild and 40 seconds remain, there are not many teams that will not try to at least jump the line and knock the ball away. You are in a desperation mode and will try about anything as a player to get the ball back.

You would do it, too. I've seen it work.

ALSO, at which point in the final minute did Coach David Mitchell run onto the field an "cheap shot" the quarterback? I must have missed that. I didn't even see him in pads the whole night. See what happens when you blink......

If we're going to question a coach's class based on what kids do on the field, Hazard's coach would be held accountable for the crotch kick incident, would he not? We both know that neither man sanctioned whatever happened out there.

Players are players and all do some things that are questionable at times when things are getting heated and show lacks of discipline. I really thought both coaches and staffs did a GREAT job of cooling things down when they got a little out of control.

Both teams were emotional, LC with their first game since losing a team captain, and Hazard had a losing streak against us, was playing in a tight game and showed some frustrations in the 1st half. Again, I say the COACHES showed a lot of class by calming their teams at the half.

(You also can't compare what players are doing on the field and a physical attack on a woman by a grown adult off the field, as far as class goes.)

Another note, we have all been to games where the announcer was saying some things we didn't care for. They are there to accomadate the home fans, give out information and give some information on the action and position.

At what point is it o.k. for us to trespass and get our time on the air with the p.a. away from home (or at home if we have no reason to be in the booth)?

NEVER is when.

It just causes trouble for everyone.

If we win, we have done our talking on the field. If we lost, most times they have to come to our place sooner or later.

We're never going to like everything someone says, but we do have personal responsibility for all WE (as individuals) say and do.

Sounds like it was crazy game. This just goes to show how good 1A is this year and how many good teams there are in 1A. I was really impressed with Lynn Camp when they came up to Dayton and to play right with Hazard just shows they are that good. Good game to both.
