I was real proud of the Lynn Camp team last night. After Joe went down losing to Williamsburg the way they did they could have packed in for the season, but they respond great last night. The defense was very strong holding the high power Hazard offense to two tds. Lynn Camp lost this game at the start of the second half, Hazard came out of the break ready to go. Hazard's defense also played great. There is a lot of speed on that Hazard defense, it makes it tough to get a big play on them. Second half they did a great job shutting down LC. The D-line made some big plays. Lynn Camp can continue to play well, this could be a match up we could see in a few weeks in Hazard.

Interesting that Hazard had to grandstand and make the Cats wait to do their post game prayer...

I remember the last time that Lynn Camp played over at Hazard, playoffs 2003. Lynn Camp pulled off the big upset, went to a small corner of the endzone, listened to Coach Mitchell, broke, and went to the locker room.

I like the odds for the Cats if they have the chance to play Hazard again in the Regionals. Remember, last nights team is a group of guys that lost their leader, leading rusher, and shutdown corner and came in and held one of Single A footballs top scoring offenses to 17 points.

I feel like the Camp has a chance to improve as they adjust to "Life without Joe."

If a player has indeed kicked or attempted to strike, he can be ejected by any of the five officials on the field. No, it cannot be re-instated by any other official. If an ejected player does report after being ejected, it is another foul for illegal participation and can be justified as unsporting to the head coach and disqualified himself.

I was standing on the track in front of the 10 yd line when the signal was given for ejection after the kick. #60 walked off the field, took off his helmet and the crowd was already into the "NA-NA-NA-NA-NA-HEY-HEY-GOODBYE" Chant everyone gets when ejected. Next thing I knew, he was in the game and I was told if he was not ejected by the lead official, it did not count :creepy:!

 

If he was tossed and played again, anyway, is this the same as an ineligible player and grounds for a forfeit???

Did Hazard do jumping jacks after the game?

Why, yes they did! Spelled B-U-L-L-D-O-G-S after it. What's up with that???? Something they do often???

IMO, thats a bad decision by the staff to have kids do that after the game. Do they do it after losses as well? I'm guessing not. IMO getting in a circle and doing jumping jacks as a celebration is not a good idea. I don't mind kids getting in a huddle and chanting but circling up is something different.

In all fairness to them, they didn't do all that until they had declined Lynn Camp's invitation to join the post game prayer, and basically forced the kids that were praying off the field. In all fairness.

I am sure the tape will be reviewed and if indeed the player was ejected and allowed to play then was not reported by the officiating crew, someone will be answering questions. Officials have 24 hours to report to KHSAA an ejection. No, any of the five officials can eject a player and no one of the five can allow him to play during that game or the next game. It could be overturn by the KHSAA if the ejection was not justified for the next game.

Hazard does the same thing on their end of the field after every win or loss. Hazard had 18 penalties and Lynn Camp had 5 penalties. A little lopsided in that department.

I didn't see them do it when we won there in '03 or when we won here in '05....

I won't argue about that because I don't care. I just know that I have seen them get in a circle and do jumping jacks or whatever it is they do after every game I have seen them play.

 

Was the penalty discrepancy 15-4?
