  1. I'm thinking the Cats will be ok. If the LC coaching staff straightened out the problems up front I expect the game to be extremely competitive. Also seemed like The Eagles had some problems snapping the ball out of shotgun and when punting. My prediction - Lynn Camp 21 Campbellsville 7
  2. From a spectator standpoint, the line play was HORRIBLE for LC last week. The starting two backs (#22 Steele and 21 Wanger) are both athletes, not natural runners. Wanger will be missed as a blocker, thats about it.
  3. Last night was as rough as I've seen a Lynn Camp offense look in a long while. You see the score and you think the 'Cats must have been moving the ball tremendously but that was hardly the case. LC dominated the field position battle, keeping the Eagles on their own side of the fifty with the exception of about 5 plays. Did anyone else notice that LC had a DB with a broken arm who snagged an interception?
  4. I always have thoughts. They aren't always relevant, but they are thoughts. I don't look for the 'Cats to start showing their stuff until they get their starting quarterback and right tackle back from injuries.
  5. Compared to us, everybody playing high school football is young. But in other news, GO COLONELS! WCHS sneaks one out, 28-24
  6. I recently watched a film of the 'Burg and Cambpellsville, so I am just curious when those kids got replaced. That game was a pure abomination compared to other performances that the Jackets have put out. I know that they were missing a couple kids but it almost seems like a complete transformation of a program in no time flat. Nuff said, Williamsburg by right around 2 TD's.
  7. Spencer County's program is developing nicely, and I think they will get their first playoff win this week! Think it will be a squeaker though...
  8. Sometimes I feel like when I make well thought out comments and really put a lot of effort into my posts its a waste of time. I think I'll just start posting random scores that pop into my head on all of the threads.
  9. This game will be decided in the early going. Should Lynn Camp come out like gang-busters (a'la the Whiltey Co and previous Campbellsville games) then the Hitmen will roll. I know that the 'Cats have struggled without Roskopf, but their defense has remained impressive. Holding the high scoring Hazard offense to 17, and the offense of Middelsborro to only a touchdown drive (never mind the LC special teams squads took two untimely coffee breaks). Should the Cats find a way to put points on the board then I feel that they will be serious contenders for the regional title.
  10. As a Lynn Camp fan, I always look forward to playing Coach Roark and his ball club. True, they have won the majority of the games in the series but its always a test for both teams. Congrats to the Jackets! ...And hopefully the loss will have LC inspired going into the play offs next week against a Campbellsville team that will no doubt be looking for revenge against a Roskoph-less Wildcats
  11. Wrong. Lynn Camp had SEVEN holding calls. Hazard had ONLY one penalty in the second half, a block below the wait. The tally was 15 against LC and less than 7 for Hazard. Hazard, a spread passing team with only a single holding call, and Lynn Camp a running team with seven? Two of the holding calls were called on pancake blocks where the tackle, 76, drove the kid directly to the ground. The officials for the game were just plain pathetic.
  12. In all fairness to them, they didn't do all that until they had declined Lynn Camp's invitation to join the post game prayer, and basically forced the kids that were praying off the field. In all fairness.
  13. The Eagles may not have had a perfect year, but it seems as though they always have superb athletes.
  14. Interesting that Hazard had to grandstand and make the Cats wait to do their post game prayer... I remember the last time that Lynn Camp played over at Hazard, playoffs 2003. Lynn Camp pulled off the big upset, went to a small corner of the endzone, listened to Coach Mitchell, broke, and went to the locker room. I like the odds for the Cats if they have the chance to play Hazard again in the Regionals. Remember, last nights team is a group of guys that lost their leader, leading rusher, and shutdown corner and came in and held one of Single A footballs top scoring offenses to 17 points. I feel like the Camp has a chance to improve as they adjust to "Life without Joe." heh...sounds like a sitcom...
  15. The first down rounds should be an impressive amount of fun.
  16. One thing that Coach Mitchell has ALWAYS been known for is class. He expects it out of everyone that is involved in his program, from assistants, all the way to managers. He expects the best from his players.
  17. Yeah, it was really out of hand when he slapped Coach Mitchell's daughter. The guy was claiming to be the Chief of Police from over there. Apparently if you're a ranking public official you can hit girls when they tell you that you shouldn't be in the opposing teams' press box. I watched that spectacle in shock and dismay. In other news, the Hitmen did a good job staying in the game and fighting through the some really questionable officiating against a team that they weren't supposed to be able to compete with.
  18. Not well at all. the acl is torn and he will be out for the season. It hurts me because he is probably the most unselfish kid I've ever seen play. Today Lynn Camp's junior high was hosting Pineville and Joe was out limping around painting the field up for the younger kids. Truly a class act, is Mr Roskopf.
  19. Roskopf will be out, there's no real doubt about it. Rumor has it the injury is a minor cartilage tear. If that is so, then there is a slim chance he could be playing again by the first playoff game. Recently Lynn Camp has blown out a team it shouldn't have been able to compete against and gave away a game against a team they were favored to beat by a landslide... So if we get the "Vs Whitley" Lynn Camp I believe it will be close. If we see " Vs Williamsburg Lynn Camp" it will be the Bulldogs by around 50.
  20. One of these days the Lynn Camp Faithful is going to convince Dave Mitchell to start throwing it more... Granted Coach Mitchell once said to me, "If football were meant to be played in the air, God would have sown grass in the sky." Most people don't know just how philosophical Coach Mitchell really is.
  21. Everyone keeps talking about Williamsburg's youth, but Lynn Camp is also extremely young. I know that's been mentioned before, but I just wanted to reiterate the point that out of 28 kids Lynn Camp has 22 freshmen and sophomores. My prediction? Lynn Camp by as much as they want. Williamsburg lacks the physicality to tackle Roskopf or Wagner once they turn down field.
