Pretty big accusations there Paris Pride. Did anyone ever think that kids might come to LCA because its a better school than what they are in? As far as limiting enrollment, that is true they have a cap on how many students they can have. If you are a good athlete does that move you up on the list? I'm not sure about that one. Does LCA have good kids, yeah. Do they have better players, yeah sometimes. Parents have to pay a ton of money for there kids to play any sport. Therefore the coaches don't have to deal with players quiting, talking back, or any of the other junk public coaches deal with. I really don't think LCA recruits. I think the public school system does the recruiting for them. LCA has already paid the fine and it wasn't a big one. The people this hurts the most is the families of the minority players that don't have the money to begin with but want there kids to get a good education. So they aren't allowed to recieve a minority scholarship. Did you know the state gives loan forgiveness to any minority that teaches. Why are they doing that? Because they are trying to get more minorities into the classroom. Why did LCA allow students to recieve minority scholarships? To get more minorities into the classroom. LCA understandes where they messed up and hopefully it won't happen again. LCA has a few really good players but so does Raceland, Hazard, Pikeville, and others. LCA is not a hot bed of talent but they do have more talent than many other teams. You take out some of their key players and they won't be as good. Much like any other program.

If the students did not play sports should the school allow churches to fund minority students education?

The funds were set up through a church to help minority students? I guess LCA needs to be more careful about who pays for their students athletes tuition.

Split the middle between the two figures and that is what is costs I believe.

Anyone have any idea if the administration gets behind their coaches? I know Jessamine County has a lot of A.D.'s There are 2 co-athletic directors at West, 1 at East, and a district athletic director at central office. That turns into a lot of red tape I'm sure.

Are you telling me that you don't think a 7-5 season is success at UK? Well better not tell Rich Brooks that. I believe a 7-5 regular season would be considered successful. As for Baylor, I could care less what his record was there. My whole point was he had a successful season at UK and it would be exciting to get a former UK head coach in the high school ranks.

I'm not sure why the last couple of coaches left so quickly but from what I am hearing there are quite a few people that have applied for the job.

He will also be treated as a football God for a few years unless he doesn't win. Not too many people get to hang around with former UK head coaches that had the success he did in the short time he was there. I think it would be good for the state of Kentucky. I bet every kid and coach in the state will be excited to play Boyle if he gets the job, I know I would be.

Guys in there 20's are willing to put in the work and give head coaching a chance. Many times guys in there 20's are more able to move on a whim because they haven't started families, or they aren't set in stone yet. IMO

From watching Pikeville this past season I had a feeling that they had some disciplinary issues, was that the case or am I way off base?

Where would Coach Jackson go to? I thought Pikeville was a pretty good set up but I may be wrong.

Who is the youngest head coach in high school? I think Luke Salmons (Lawrence Co.) and Bart Elam (Pineville) are both 27. Does anyone know a head coach younger than that?

Anyone heard any news about who might have applied? With West Jessamine going 1-20 in the past two years I would say that Lloyd Carr is not going to come out of retirement to take the job. They may need to look at hiring an unestablished head coach or an assistant from another school.

Not positive but I heard that the OC and DC are already hired. They were the previuos head coaces at the consolidated schools. I also heard that the HC is from Florida and is a Woolum, his family is from East KY. Its not Tuck but maybe someone related to him. This is a positive, but through the grapvine. Can anyone confirm or deny any of it?

I think Harrison County is underated. They usually have a good team and pretty good regular season records. They don't show up on the radar because they have not had a lot of success in the playoffs.

I think with all the teams coming back with a lot of talent, home field in the playoffs will determine what teams may win next year. The even or lower districts get home game if the #1 seed wins the district. Next year in the East it would probably be: Region- LCA-Raceland winner District 5 going to District 7 Hazard Lynn Camp, Williamsburg, Camp District 6 going to District 8 Pikeville. Then the winner of 6 vs. 8 has semi-final. LCA had all home games this year. LCA-Raceland winner will have a tough road next year. Pikeville will probably have all the home field next year if they take care of business.

I think you need a decent QB. The good thing is the OL doesn't have to drive people off the ball. The lineman need to stay between the QB and DL in pass blocking.
