Who wins, and why?

Pikevillle seems to be playing really really well right now, I'll take them because they are going to be very difficult to stop with their option offense and extremely agressive physical defense.

I am going to go with LCA. But I need a shirt to wear to the game.

I'm going with LCA, they have a very balanced offense, quality kicker, quality punter, and a solid defense. LCA has all the facets of a football team.

 

Pikeville is good football team, I have limited knowledge of them this year, but from what I have read, their offense is a lot of run, and you can not be one dimensional against LCA.

 

LCA's kicking game is strong and an often overlooked part of the game by the causal fan, it will win games.

As long as Pikeville can play as a team and keep from making dumb mistakes they will take this one,35-28.

I don't think Pikeville runs a true option? It is more of a Belly offense. I have said LCA is one of the overrated teams in the state, although they are good still overrated IMO. I think Pikeville will prove it with a big win in Lexington.

LCA is a very good team. They have had trouble with teams from the mountains this year. Coach Raines said he wanted to play those teams in the regular season to prepare his team for games like this. I think if LCA can force Pikeville out of what they do best, run the football, then they should be able to pull out the win. If not Pikeville will control the clock and keep the powerful LCA offense on the sideline.

Pikeville and Hazard are pretty much even, Hazard punished LCA a few weeks ago. It would be easy to assume Pikeville would do the same, but Pikeville is a gorund oriented team whereas Hazard is a balanced offense. The two teams who really hrut LCA were Hazard and Corbin, both teams are balanced.

 

This should be an excellent matchup, but I expect Daniel Harmon to cement himself as one of the best players in 1A. It seems that as Harmon's carries have increased, the Panther's success has increased as well.

This should be great matchup..I think Pikeville is playing better at this point in the season and LCAs defense has been giving up alot of points when they play better competition. I think it'll be a pretty high scoring game with Pikevilles defense making a few more stops..

Pikeville needs to contain #30 and they can win this game. Not that LCA only has one good player but he is the leader and a HOSS!! Good luck to both teams.
