Alot of different variables will determine the outcome of this one. Alot of people think LCA is overpowering, but I do not. They are a good team no doubt, but in the previous meeting in September (Week 5) Raceland was missing 5-6 key starters in crucial positions.

This is the matchup everyone wanted to see in Week 5; both teams healthy & at full speed. I think that if Raceland can move the ball on the ground like they did against Fairview it will open up the passing lanes more in key situations, & their offense will be successful. Also, if the Rams can play solid defense like they did against Fairview, I think they can pull off the upset. I say upset because obviously LCA will be heavily favored.

The Rams must contain Hayden & not give up big plays. Here's hoping the Rams defend theitr district title. :thumb:

There was a thread started on this game last night, maybea Mod or Admin could combine them. :thumb:

This is what Raceland wanted - Raceland/LCA. This will be a very interesting game, many poeple are going to look at the score from the regular season and automatically think that this is going to be a blow out for LCA, and they will be surprised. The score of this game will not be 42-7. I am excited about this game and it will be a big game.

LCA is a very good team and they are building a quality program with a very good coaching staff, and hats off to them for that. I, as well as the Raceland football community, respect the LCA program. And it appears that LCA respects the Raceland tradition. This mutual respect makes for some good match ups.

I think this will be a hard score to call. The first match up really can not be used to argue who will win this game. Raceland had 5 two way starters out with injuries in the first game, that is 10 starting positions that, mainly, sophomores were playing in. I know LCA will come out ready to play and will be a tough match up for Raceland. And, Raceland will be prepared and motivated for another district championship.

Raceland gets what they wanted a rematch with LCA. But the outcome will be the same. LCA 42 - Raceland 7.

The previous playoff meeting score is irrelevant. What was the score when they played this season? I believe it was LCA 42 Raceland 7.

Racelands previuos playoff record is irrelevant now. If you'll research the records of the teams you'll find that Raceland faced a lot of the state champs or runners up in the first round. Playing northern Ky. in the 1st round year in year out since 1975 wasn't an easy task.

The rams were missing 9 starters the first time these two teams played including big play makers Denton and Carver. The rams come out on top and defend their district championship.

I for one am just glad that these two teams and their fans can post and respect one another on here as well as at the game and be friends :thumb:.

The LCA Eagle Football program is all class and led by a Coach that is one of the best in the state. Coach Raines is a fine Christian man as is Coach Vanderhoof at Raceland. On a Personal note both have had their prayers for me about some of my health problems (Coach Raines has along with some other LCA fans and last season as well - through e-mails. Thanks again EagleEye and Bluto along with others :thumb:)and I will not forget that. The LCA fans/bgp'rs on here are class all the way.

One thing for certain is that no matter which one of these teams advance to the next round our district will be represented well, not only with either one of our two good football teams and excellent coaching staff's but with the class of both programs all around and their fans. I want to beat LCA but..... Should LCA win this one, I will be pulling for them the rest of the way.

GO RAMBLERS!!!!!

:thumb:Good post oldrambler. I agree, the LCA and Raceland fans have a good relationship, and have a friendly rivalry, caused by district pairings. Myself and my family always have a good trip and a good experience when we travel to LCA, it is always better when we come home with a win. There is never any inappropriate chants or yells from the stands, and the the game is left to the players, and after the game there is never any confrontations. Always a friendly environment.

Many fans from other schools could learn a lot by visiting an LCA/Raceland game.

Or, even that his thread is not about that, I would include a Raceland/Ashland game in that category as well. :thumb:

LCA 35

Raceland 21

Hope the Rams can bring home a victory.

I am sure Coach Hoof and his fine staff will have his team well-prepared.

A healthy Ram team might pull the upset.
