  1. He had a pretty good game on defense as well. Breathitt's defense is alot stronger than they was at the begining of the season. If they can get the offense rolling its going to be fun to see these cats in the playoffs ( i will say it was a very impressive first drive Breathitt had pushing the ball the length of the field)
  2. Breathitt had a great night on defense again, but so did Leslie. 32 from leslie is a tough cat, he was all over the field, and his hit on the opening kick off set the tone for the night. Nice win by the bobcats. Lets keep this ball rolling guys
  3. Well you can't just say that they will win based on who they have played because I recall last season, when Sheldon Clark killed Breathitt 33-14 in the first round. During the season Breathitt beat shelby valley to death, when Sheldon Clark only won by I believe 4 points.
  4. Western by 21. Western is no secret up here in Breathitt County. I would love to see Breathitt and Western one more time this season. One of the most physical games I have ever seen. Western is the real deal.
  5. Well, I can agree with you that they struggled against Cawood, but thats fault of looking passed them to Leslie. Leslie struggled with Knott Central and no one even mentioned that. I ain't taking anything away from Western because from what i seen they are the hardest hitting team Breathitt has played. Breathitt from what i was told was scheduled by other teams because they believed they could beat Breathitt. All I'm saying is people put Breathitt down because they only have 4 seniors. They don't recieve the credit they deserve. No one remembers when Breathitt scrimmaged Pikeville, who took Belfry to the limit. Breathitt defeated Pikeville in a scrimmage 28-0. Just thought it was unfair to say Breathitt was beat to death by Western.
  6. What I don't understand about this comment is how every week people say Breathitt will lose, or they will struggle with the team they play and they end up showing everyone wrong. The game against Western, if u take 2 mistakes away from Breathitt's defense (which is much improved now) it's a 1 score game. Breathitt had a chance to go up 21-0 against Western but turnovers ruined 3 drives before any team scored. The game was alot closer than the score showed
  7. I think Breathitt will win by 2 touchdowns, but this game in my opion will be a classic.
  8. There is no question that Breathitt's defense has carried them the last 3 games. If they can get the offense playing with the defense they will be really tough to beat and IDC who they are playing. The more i watch Breathitt play the more i realize what kind of team these guys have. There have been games where the offense has carried the load and games where the defense has done the job. I hope they can get both sides of the ball on the same page. If they can do this, Breathitt is gonna be really touch to beat.
  9. I think Breathitt over looked Cawood. Breathitt started off by shooting themselves in the foot with 2 turnovers, I think Breathitt's defense played well for the 3rd week in a roll. In the second half Cawood comes out and scores, Alot of teams would have hung their heads and the game could have turned around in Cawood's favor, but the Bobcats didn't let that happen. It was a physical game, and alot of fun to watch.
  10. If you could put together the mountain starting offensive line who would be ur starting line-up? LT Brad Durham, LG Casey Allen, C Aaron Mullins, RG Sean Nolan, and RT Scott Daughtery. Thats my 2006 mountain starting offensive line. (all of these boys have a great chance at being All-State by season's end as well)
  11. Breathitt has a nice stadium to be a 2A school. They have the only roofed stadium in Kentucky. A wonderful weight room, and a pretty good size locker room as well. All around one of the nicer facilities I have seen.
  12. I would have to give it to Casey Allen and Arron Mullins from Breathitt County. Casey controls the middle and Mullins puts the pressure on the quarterback. Which is a big reason why Breathitt has had so much success in the secondary this year.
  13. I know B. Herald from Breathitt pretty well and i haven't seen a more determined and hard nosed player. He told me that the seniors had come together(all 4 of them) and made their mind up that they wasn't going to listen to the newspapers, that they was going to take this team as far as they can. The beauty of Beckham Herald is, he doesn't care where he is ranked, or wether or not his name is in the paper. He just wants to win, and he does everything he can to bring home a win on fridays. So if you ask me how did Breathitt turn it around so quickly look no further than those 4 seniors. It's a special thing when u come to a Breathitt football game, see #23 in the endzone and his 3 offensive linemen(which are the other seniors) congradulating him on his score. He has been known to give the line high fives when he gets a big play. I love seeing that on friday nights. It's a special season in Breathitt, regardless if they run the table or not.
  14. Since there are threads about the best wide-recievers, best quarterbacks, ect. ect. I thought it would be nice to see who people think are the best linemen in the mountains. Who are the cream of the crop so to speak? I think we all agree that Brad Durham is at the top of the list. In my opinion Casey Allen from Breathitt County has to be up there as well. 6-1 300lbs. and is a big part of why Breathitt has had so much success. Those 2 are at the top of my list......What about u guys?
  15. I don't see how people can put Pikeville ahead of Breathitt when Breathitt completely dominated Pikeville in a scrimmage at the beginning of the season by a score of 28-0. I know scrimmages don't matter, but when Belfry was beaten by Johnson Central people uproared about it. Pikeville may be 7 through ten but number 1-6 in my opinion is currect.
  16. Breathitt has played Madison Southern, Fleming County, Louisville Western, Powell Valley Vr., and Harlan. Which from what I have heard many people though at this point the bobcats would be 1-4 instead of 4-1. The only lose the bobcats have suffered was by 2A powerhouse Louisville Western. Which Breathitt held their own through the first half, but fell apart in the second losing 35-15. Take 2 80 yard runs away and its a 1 score game. They have really impressed me so far.
  17. Breathitt has alot of talent and works very hard from what I have seen. I don't know much about lawrence county, except for the fact that they have played a really tough schedule and have been bitten by the injury bug. This has all the fixings to be a great game, or a blow-out. I'm giving the edge to Breathitt and say the final score will be Breathitt 42.......Lawrence 14.
  18. Both have played really tough schedules so far, but i will have to give the edge to Breathitt. I think they have to much talent on the offensive side of the ball in this one.
  19. I know Breathitt has been in the top 10, but in his show "football 101" on thursday's it seems like he is always saying Breathitt will lose.
  20. Is the Allen Kid alright for Breathitt? I heard he hurt is knee again. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
  21. It's about time that Brian Mylom gives Breathitt a little credit. It seems like every week he picks Breathitt to lose. Time and time again the bobcats prove him wrong. I think the top 7 is pretty well justified. From there I believe there are many teams that could fill the slots.
  22. In my opinion this region is wide open. I talked to a few boys from Belfry the other night and they said they are not the Belfry that we are use to. Middlesboro is loaded with talent from what i hear, and Breathitt has prved alot of their doubters wrong this year. We can't forget about Sheldon Clark either. I don't know much about them, but from what i hear they are pretty good as well. I'm interested in seeing the outcome of this region.
  23. #28 is channing Fugate. The younger brother of Colby Fugate the starting QB. He is alot more mature than his age(that goes for many other of the bobcats) this team is young on paper, but keep in mind that many of these boys have a years experience under there belt. Being the younger brother of the starting QB isn't so bad either. He has an advantage on learning the system and makes it easier for Colby to judge where to put the ball. He is a freshman on paper but plays like a junior or senior.
  24. Even though the score shows blowout, from what i saw this game was alot closer than it appears. Breathitt shot themselves in the foot with some key turnovers early in the game(the game had the potential to be Breathitt 21-0, before Western got on the scoreboard) Much to the credit of Western they stood tough and proved that they are exactly what people say they are. Looking at the bright side for Breathitt they held tough through the first half with the #3 team in 2A. Their pre-district schedule isn't the easiest either. In my opinion this team could be very tough by seasons end, and at this point I believe the favorites to win district. I'm interested to see how this team bounces back from this lose.
  25. Even thought Breathitt beat Fleming the way they did, Breathitt did not play their "A" game last night. On offense I liked what i saw from the blue/white. Defense needs to step up and play to their ability. All around a fun game to watch, and very interesting to see how the Bobcats came back out after halftime and shut Fleming down. Especially after Fleming scored right before the half.
