I think Leslie County has way too much coming back not to consider them the favorite this year.

I think Leslie County has way too much coming back not to consider them the favorite this year.

They return 3 on O & 3/4 on D.

Ryan Howard - RB, Timmy Baker - FB/LB, Brian Hubbard - WR/DB

Jordan Morgan - RB/S (started a couple games for the Eagles @ safety in 06')

Howard might move to QB this upcoming season.

Leslie lost QB Quentin Morgan, WR's B.j. Young, Riley Hendrix, Daniel Day & Tyler Wells. Leslie lost there starting D & O Lines. (Jared Turner, John Horton, Jerry Caudill & David Smith.

Ben walker should be able to help the Eagles out on the D & O lines.

They will have a couple juniors who could step up & play WR along with senior Brian Hubbard. (Ryan Couch, Jr Browning & Justin Poloni - TE)

Jimmy Jo Morgan (younger bro of Quentin) could also get a few snaps @ QB this upcoming season.

Good luck this upcoming season to coach Koogler & the Eagles!

Just about everyone will be back for the Jackets In 06.

M.H.S only lost two starters (OL/DL)Miller and (LB)Lewis ,they both will be missed but all our skill position players are back and just about all of them will be seniors.

The key for Middlesboro is can they hang on to the football (turnovers KILLED them all of last season).

If they can hang onto the football than scoring points will not be a problem for this team ,They should be a lot of fun to watch in 06.

Sorry for the mistake then. I thought that Leslie County had more coming back than what you had stated. My apologies.

I wouldn't care to see Middlesboro win the region though.

Mboro returns more Seniors than they have in 3 years. Earls, Breeding, and Hoskins are all legitimate D1 Prospects.

QB Trevor Hoskins (6'3", 190) posted the best overall numbers of any KY QB at both the Athens and Louisville Combines. Scoff if you will, but he may be the best QB in the State.

TE / LB Andrew Breeding (6'2", 210) had the fastest 40 time of any TE or LB from KY at both the Athens (4.67) and Louisville (4.60) Combines. One of the top LB Prospects in KY.

RB / WR Casey Earls (5'11", 175) had a top 10 time in the Athens Agilities (4.06), and ran a 4.66 electronic 40. Getting D1 looks at RB, WR, S.

The Jackets should do well this year.

I like Middlesboro as well. They outscore Belfry in a high scoring final.

That last sentence is why they will not win the region "Koogler".........:D

They lost a great deal more than they bring back. Howard and Hubbard will make them exciting, but they lost the majority of their starters (including QB Quenton Morgan, BJ Young, Riley Hendrix, Daniel Day, and most of their O line). This will probably be a rebuilding season for the Eagles. But Coach Koogler will have them ready to play.

IMO its Belfry until Belfry is dethroned I always have to pick them cause they will be well coached and as usual as hard nose team that will never give up.... Also personally I think Belfry is one of the toughest places in the state to go in and win at

I think this is Middlesboro's year. But Belfry will still be tough pburg will be better I don't think Leslie will be a challenge and its always tough to play at the rock. But Middlesboro will walk through LOUSVILLE.

Middlesboro has some very good skill players, but unless they have drastically improved their tackling from last year, I cannot see them beating Belfry.

Who else does Middlesboro have other then Hoskins, Earls and Breeding?

(RB) C.G. Ford and Shawn Russell (WR) Da'lin Farr and Hunter Adams (TE/LB) Daniel Crawford.

Crawford was hurt the first half of the season but look for him to have a BIG year as both LB and TE.
