Mboro should also have much better depth on the line in '06. Nick Reynolds will probably be the only Senior starter, but the kids that played as Freshmen and Sophs are now Sophs & Juniors, and they have grown. I'd like to see Mboro be able to Platoon linemen this year - after going both ways in the trenches for the whole game, fatigue has taken its toll in the 4th Q.

I think Belfry is kind of like last year. The region was just down and Belfry was up. Belfry will be better than last year and has homefield thoroughout if they win the district. Middlesboro vs Belfry will be regional championship game. And Belfry will move on and host Russell once again.

Also here is my break down of the districts playoff spots but some are just a guess.

1. Middlesboro.(got good talent back will be good)

2. Breathitt (I just cant doubt the coach for 2 years)

3. Leslie (them and Breathitt will be close)

4.KCC (dethrone Cawood and earn a trip to Belfry

1. Belfry (best until beaten

2. SC (good but have to replace a great line.

3. Pburg (will get better)

4. SV (Will be a battle for this spot but I think Valley will open playoffs in Middlesboro)

Are they starting that this year? I wasnt for sure. But still my Regional Championship will be Middlesboro at Belfry. Middlesboro will be good but they would loose the battle of the line and cause them to loose the game. Belfry will have a quick line this year. But Middlesboro impressed me last year to be so young.

Leslie's got Howard, Hubbard, and Baker coming back. Jordan Morgan will be great at running back. There are two Seniors who have not played football since middle school and could have started at receiver on last years team, and thats saying something. Theres a couple of stud freshmen linemen that could see playing time, and a sophmore lb/de who is the real deal.

As far as the line goes, the new weight program that has been going on has really pumped up some of the linemen. James Mosley, a junior, squatted 570 the last test and the rest of the starting line have made tremendous gains. And with a Vince Young, Michael Vick type at QB, THE EAGLES WILL BE VERY DANGEROUS!!!!!

Belfry. Hands down.

Thanks Mountain Top 5 and Southeast Bell for your information on the Jackets. I used it to put together the football preview for Middlesboro. I'm working on Bell County's today.

I agree with all these except SV I believe Pike Central will take the #4 spot.

Does anyone know much or expect much from Breathitt County?

1.Belfry

2.Middlesboro

3.Sheldon Clark

4.Prestonsburg

5.Breathitt County

6.Leslie County

Ahh....I'll take Cawood Making the trip to Belfry again. I would have to believe the Offense alone, that Cawood will be running, will get them back to Belfry, Cawood has 3 year Starter Michael White back, And a few more very nice RB.

The Offense they'll be running, I liked better then the Wing-T. ;)

I think Belfry Boy is right... this will be the third year in a row the Devils and Pirates me for to see who walks on the carpet for the east.... I cant wait for the game either big time rubber match

The M'boro 2006, 2007 team has just as many weapons as they had on the 98' 99 state champion team. The only difference is in 98' 99 M'boro had that great LB.

Defender -

The LB you've got in mind was Floyd Branham, and he was one of the best I've ever seen. He's been on TV lately as one of those "Extreme Tough Man" no-rules kickboxing competitors - it's called something else, but I can't remember. Branham is the only one who's undefeated.
