BTW, Andrew Breeding will be playing Branham's position this year, IMO. He's projected as one of the best LB's in the State. We'll see how he does.

Defender -

The LB you've got in mind was Floyd Branham, and he was one of the best I've ever seen. He's been on TV lately as one of those "Extreme Tough Man" no-rules kickboxing competitors - it's called something else, but I can't remember. Branham is the only one who's undefeated.

What channel can you catch that on??

My daughter said it was a local version of the "Ultimate Fighter" series. Don't know what channel.

Middlesboro returns a lot, but I'll take Belfry to become the first school since Pikeville (1977-80) to win four straight Region IV titles.

I think Leslie County has way too much coming back not to consider them the favorite this year.

I thought Leslie Co. lost a lot to graduation last year?

They did ,See post #3.
Ahh....I'll take Cawood Making the trip to Belfry again. I would have to believe the Offense alone, that Cawood will be running, will get them back to Belfry, Cawood has 3 year Starter Michael White back, And a few more very nice RB.

The Offense they'll be running, I liked better then the Wing-T. ;)

I had just mad ea guess honestly. I really had no idea to what either team was bringing back.

Breathitt will be a much improved team in 06. They didn't lose much and return alot of talent. People will be suprised by this group of young men this year. I'm not going to make ne predictions, but i do think they will have a great season

Breathitt County will be tough for sure ,I really can't see them being down 2 years In a row under the great Coach Mike Holcomb,He will have his kids ready for the 06 season.

btw Welcome to BGP depend-on-me ,Glad to have ya aboard.:thumb:

Breathitt only has 4 seniors returning on this years team per "The Jackson Times" and 3 of them are lineman. This team may be 1 year away from doing some great things.

I too think they will have a great season to build on. You cant' keep a team like Breathitt down long with the great coaches and feeder program we have. We have a pretty tough schedule ahead with teams like Western, Powell Valley, Harlan, and Middlesboro this year but it will get these young men ready for the play-offs. I'm looking forward to some great football.

It's good to have alot of seniors, but I do remember Breathitt having a young team in 96' behind a sophmore QB which lead them to state. Just don't count these boys out, Coach Holcomb knows how to work a team like this.

Leslie's got Howard, Hubbard, and Baker coming back. Jordan Morgan will be great at running back. There are two Seniors who have not played football since middle school and could have started at receiver on last years team, and thats saying something. Theres a couple of stud freshmen linemen that could see playing time, and a sophmore lb/de who is the real deal.

As far as the line goes, the new weight program that has been going on has really pumped up some of the linemen. James Mosley, a junior, squatted 570 the last test and the rest of the starting line have made tremendous gains. And with a Vince Young, Michael Vick type at QB, THE EAGLES WILL BE VERY DANGEROUS!!!!!

Are you talking about Cody Dewees & Shannon Roberts ?
