These boys have played together along time now......Breathitt only has i believe 2 seniors. They will be a force for the next few years. I just hope they can keep this ball rolling.

Breathitt, this game was fairly called as well. They let the girls play which was fun to watch. Great game by the both teams though.

Way to go Ladycats. They beat the Lady commadores 51-47, playing without their best player Nicole Luttes for pretty much the entire 2nd half. (Hope that cut doesn't need stitches) Great team effort tonight. Hard faught game on both sides. :dancingpa

In the first game Breathitt had them down by i believe 14 points, and blew the lead, glad to see them get that one back. Very impressive win, and it was at Hazard.

What game was you watching? Breathitt's Allen made play after play to keep Breathitt in the game against Leslie. Even Leslies Coaches said that was the better game of the 2 that he played against them. He had a 4th & 1 stop to keep the game alive. I believe he put the center in the back field, hit Ryan Howard about 3 yards deep, caused a fumble and Breathitt recovered. To be honest I have never seen a team trap block a nose gaurd like Leslie did that game. There wasn't a game all year that he was "shut down". Double team, triple team, trap block, at the end of the day he always put up the effort. Thats why he is first team all-state defense.

I was at this game, and I don't understand how Breathitt's defense wasn't good. Give me Ryan Allen on defense, and i will say he wins. He held The Hicks kidd from Hazard to 0 points in the 3rd and they was playing man. As far as the Jackson game it was expected I thought any ways. Breathitt's depth ran away with it.

Well I think Breathitt can upset anyone in the region really. They had a 14 point lead over hazard in the 3rd at one point.Tonight about midway through the third period Breathitt pulled away. Reason being Steve Banks conditions Breathitt really hard so they can go 4 quarters. That was the down fall of Brian Hall's teams at Breathitt. I believe that was the case tonight to. I will put Travis Smith up against anyone in the Region in a 1-on-1 low post matchup anyday too. Way to go Big Blue

I had the pleasure of playing against Hoskins from Middlesboro. He was by far the best Qb that I have ever played against or played with. Coming from a school that prduces great high school QB's (Breathitt County) He reminded me alot of Jacob Hundley in his build. He made plays with his arm, and feet when he had too. He stayed in the pocket very comfortably, and when he broke the line of scrimmage he was dangerous. We watched film on him against Harlan and i believe he slung one well over 60 yards with his feet planted. Simply put the kid is a football player, and deserves to play at the next level. I believe if you put him on a team like the one Nick Petrino was on, the numbers would be unbelievable. In my opinion he was the best QB in the state, and thats coming from a guy who's school is a rival to Middlesboro.

I think that the East will dominate this class for the next few years. Breathitt only loses 4, from what you guys say Russell brings back alot, andI'm sure Belfry won't be a push over. To me that's the big 3 in the East. I didn't get to see Belfry or Russell play, but I do know that Russell put up a great showing in the state championship game against a Mercer County team that was in the "experts" opinion to walk all over Russell. Belfry is and probably will always be a power in any class they play in, and I believe Breathitt Football is back. They had a pretty good season and they bring back everyone too. So this class i believe will belong to the east.

From what i understand Fleming beat Estill this past year, Fleming is returning alot. Breathitt beat Fleming, Breathitt returns almost everyone. IDK about all of the other teams but based on what I do know, and what i have seen Breathitt will atleast enter the season as the favorite to win the district.

I can, especially the first 5 weeks of the season. Powell Valley they had breathitt losing, harlan they picked over the bobcats, madison southern was picked to beat them as well. I'm just saying this team suprised alot of people this year, and it's hard telling what they will do next year.

I believe they deserve to be on there, but I believe there are a few that deserve to be on there, and they had better years than some on the list.

Belfry gets its publicity by The mountain news express. Which is a pretty big news supplier because i live in Breathitt County and even here they sale them. So Belfry does have newspapers around them. I can't wait to see the Coaches' selections. Another kid I can't believe didn't make it is Casey Earls, this AP All-State didn't do this state justice in my opinion.

Where can we find all of the rosters of the All-district teams

I can't believe that they left Casey Alln and Beckham Herald from Breathitt County off the list. Both had amazing years for the bobcats. What about Ryan Howard from Leslie, man there is alot of names that deserve to be on this list and got the wrong end of the deal in this list. Congrads to those who did make it, it's just a shame to see these boys off the list.

Dudley Hilton is got to be part of the list. Not many coaches can keep a program at the top for that any years.

At the begining of the season Breathitt was predicted to have a 5-5 record at best 6-5. I know because I played LOL. We came together in the offseason and decided we wasn't going to listen to the outside noise, and work hard to be the best we could be. Week after week WYMT picked teams to beat us it seemed, but we didn't listen. We finished 8-3. We beat Powell Valley who won their region. All of this was done with only 4 seniors. These boys are bringing back leadership, dedication, talent, and hardwork. They started lifting weights the monday after they lost. Now i know its early, but I want to be the first to say that Breathitt will be in the semi-state game in the east. In my opinion they will Represent the East in the Class 3a state championship game. 10 or more seniors 14 juniors and many sophmores who are battle tested, I honestly believe this team has all the makings of pulling it off in 07'. I'm going to throw a name out that I want people to remember "Chris Jackson". In my opinion the most underrated player on this team, and is the teams MVP for 07.

From what I know Breathitt has Prestonsburg in their Honey Bowl for the next 2 years. In my opinion Breathitt is stacked and anything less than semi-state would be a disappointment in my opinion. They only lose 4 seniors. The only weak spot will be the O-line. They lose 3 on the line due to graduation with Casey Allen leading them, and a stud at RB in Beckham Herald. Breathitt will be the front runner in my opinion to come out of the east.

Does anyone know the all-district team for 2a district 7?

I have sat back and thought of all the ins and outs of this tam nd i can't really find a weak spot except at the o-line postion. Breathitt County in my opinion is the favorite to come out of the east. Not taking anything away from the other teams but Only losing 4, 3 of which was linemen, I believe if this team stays together the way they played this year, Breathitt will be on the carpet.
