The top 5 look great; after that, there are 10 or 12 teams deserving. IMO, Corbin at 1-4 is at least 6 or 7. Watch this team make some big time noise from here on out. "Wake up Uhmeuricuh!"

I agree on us making alot of noise from here on out, but the rankings don't bother me. Its not what people say it how you play.

Any major upsets Friday night?

Not technically Mountain top 10, but Montgomery over Madison Central made me go wash my face and put my glasses on.

Suprised Belfry or Bell didn't move up with Rockcastle having an off week. Still looks good though, congrats to the Jaguars for making it in there at the ten spot.

What would justify them to be a six or a seven?

They usually do make noise when it come's time for district, look who they play.

Pulaski County 0-4(Win)-Red Hound's should role with ease in this one.

Middlesboro 4-1 (Loss)-Middlesboro average's 40 ppg, while only giving up 17 ppg, also they will be playing at middlesboro.

*Wayne County 3-2 (Win)-The card's should give corbin some fit's in this one but the Red Hound's should come out on top.

*Casey County 1-3 (Win)-Corbin win's at home in this one.

*Garrard County 1-4(win)-Another win for the Red Hound's which should lock up yet another district title and give homefield advantage all through the playoff's.

Corbin will undoubtably get better over the corse of the next five game's and should be ready for the playoff's but I don't see them shaking up the top 10 anytime soon. That is unless they can defeat a tough Middlesboro squad at Middlesboro which you never know, I've seen stranger thing's happen.

It's about time that Brian Mylom gives Breathitt a little credit. It seems like every week he picks Breathitt to lose. Time and time again the bobcats prove him wrong. I think the top 7 is pretty well justified. From there I believe there are many teams that could fill the slots.

What are you talking about? They have had Breahitt in the Top Ten for the past 3 weeks. Ive never heard him say that Breahitt is going to lose. He is a support of all Eastern Kentucky schools and his hard work and dedication is why we all look forward to getting home before 11:20 so we can watch Sports Overtime.

I pretty sure that Corbin and South Laurel are better than at least 2-3 of the top 10, but I realize that when your won-loss record is not good that you will not be in there. The best team that Clay Co has played is Wayne Co. and they barely survived to win that game at home by one. What has Harlan done to deserve being in the rankings? How about Breathitt? South and North Laurel should be ranked above these three teams without question, should Corbin, it doesn't really matter to most Hound fans to be honest. Pikeville is another team that is better than a lot of the teams ranked, but look at who they have lost to and it appears to me that they have the same mindset as Corbin. Play good teams to expose your weaknesses so that your not surprised by them come playoff time.

Corbin is young and they have lost by 3 points & 2 points to two top 10 3A schools and have also lost to two 4A schools(one of those losses by 1 point), but they need to learn how to win these type games to get to where they want to go and rankings have nothing to do with it. I believe that they are getting better and will still be playing 3 or 4 weeks into the playoffs, which is where they want to be and the difficult schedule played by this young team will be part of the reason why they will be prepared for success then.

This is what i absolutely love about Corbin. They dont care about the possiblity of a 1-4, 0-5 record when they make out there schedule cause they realize its only going to help them when they go into district play. I can even remember how many times they have started their seasons out with a bad W-L record and then make a deep run in the playoffs. Corbin has played alot of tough teams good and are a Top Ten team in my opinion but with there record its hard to rank them that way.

Sometimes it puts a little heat on the coaches though.

im very glad to see north laurel in the 10 spot. especially after everyone counting them out after their 0-2 start.

Ashland is not considered as part of the WYMT coverage area so they are never included in this poll. Lawrence Co. is as far north as WYMT goes with its coverage.
