Ashland is not considered as part of the WYMT coverage area so they are never included in this poll. Lawrence Co. is as far north as WYMT goes with its coverage.

Well they just rank the top ten teams in their coverage area the way they see it. No criteria really just their opinion from top to bottom.

JCHS is absolutely deserving of the #1 spot. I have been saying for weeks that NL was better than their 0-2 start showed. Good to see Harlan in there.

They usually do make noise when it come's time for district, look who they play.

 

Pulaski County 0-4(Win)-Red Hound's should role with ease in this one.

Middlesboro 4-1 (Loss)-Middlesboro average's 40 ppg, while only giving up 17 ppg, also they will be playing at middlesboro.

*Wayne County 3-2 (Win)-The card's should give corbin some fit's in this one but the Red Hound's should come out on top.

*Casey County 1-3 (Win)-Corbin win's at home in this one.

*Garrard County 1-4(win)-Another win for the Red Hound's which should lock up yet another district title and give homefield advantage all through the playoff's.

 

Corbin will undoubtably get better over the corse of the next five game's and should be ready for the playoff's but I don't see them shaking up the top 10 anytime soon. That is unless they can defeat a tough Middlesboro squad at Middlesboro which you never know, I've seen stranger thing's happen.

 

I don't know if its justification, but IMO I think Corbin would beat at least 3 or4 top 10 teams. That's how I get 6 or 7.

I know Breathitt has been in the top 10, but in his show "football 101" on thursday's it seems like he is always saying Breathitt will lose.

Brian Milam is now in the Maketing department at wymt, he just does sports overtime because he loves high school sports.

You would only be 3-4 midway through district play. That isn't good enough. I don't think any of your real fans is worried about the mountain top 10. Sweep the district and make a run in the playoffs.......You're good enough if you want to....... Do it ........Tackle.....you can be that good but you can't be happy trying to outscore the opposition. You've got to be better than you've shown. I think you can but you've got to do it on the field.

Somerset falls into the same category at Pikeville and Corbin. They play good competition to get better for the playoffs, though they like Corbin need to win some of those games.

I agree with you, we're not happy giving up 400 yards on defense. In the end, the only people in the program that really know anything besides our games and top ten polls are the ones on BGP. Thats not really a big deal as far as having the big head goes.

Sheldon Clark might make it into the top 3 before this season is over. Johnson Central has the ability to stay in the top spot all season.

My son plays for Meece so I'm around the fieldhouse a lot and I've seen you guys practice some. Y'all are working hard and seem to have a good attitude. You seemed to play angry last week, and that was a good thing. When all was said and done except for about 3-4 big plays you looked a lot better on defense. If you'll just get a little bit better each week things will work out. :thumb:

Pretty good rating of the mountains. I think Clay can do some damage. Alot of people have been looking over them lately.
