I am happy that each one of these players made this list even though IMO some shouldnt be of made it. Congrats to everyone thats name made the list for one reason or another.

I dont think there is a need for a mercy rule but I could see something to the effect of maybe having a running clock anytime the score is above 35 points. That way both teams can actually finish out the game and if that team does get hot and start to make a come back then the clock resumes normally. This would also make the other team play to keep the lead. I really dont believe in a mercy rule because I am old at heart and still think anything can happen. IMO even if some people that read this might think different but anything below 35(15 is way too low) is a chance and all anyone can ask for is a chance.

One more question I was wondering. If a kid in in the 8th grade and he plays at the jv level. Is he able to stay back without penality or does him playing on that team effect his eligibility come his senior year? With the fact that he does sit out any level above his grade level the 2nd year while repeating the 8th grade.

Great to see them come out on top. With them taking out Elliott and them also loosing a couple to mountain teams then this shows the comparity of teams in th mountains. Great to see these teams competing with all the top teams in the state. :clap:

I can think of several examples of the child just acting as he has seen at home, this goes both ways. I have coached and seen a positive kid no matter the situation and I have seen a kid negative no matter the situation. 95% of the time it comes directly from the parent. IMO is just comes down to who knows basketball and who doesnt. Some parents mean well and make a suggestion and thats it. Some parents want to coach and have no clue. I feel sorry for some kids because I know its not their fault. Parents just need to stay out of the gym unless asked to come in or has a problem that needs to be addressed without "child" supervision.

Good win for the Elliott. Four players in double digits is great stability in a team. I am rooting for Elliott winning it all. They will have their hands full with Shelby Valley next.

Most the time if Al Hollan's team is suppose to win or has a team that is very similiar in talent usally he comes out on top. A team that has talent and an experienced coach. Big win for Hazard even though I am no Hazard fan.

I'll take my 10 days and start trying to predict who would win the Region I am suppose to be playing. That way I can start getting scouting reports and maybe even drive up and watch the other team. This also gives my team a week to recover from injuries because after a hard fought tournament there are always going to be some bumps and bruises.

Timmy Murrell looked good. I heard he totaled 19pts and 17 rebounds againest a big and rough powell team.

Just wondering why they would forfeit it ??? I did hear that after this year they were going to stop playing each other to help calm down the rivalry and bad attitudes. I'll take Perry in a close game by 5. 61-66.

Glad to see a small place like Elliot do so well and be consistant over a couple of years. I wouldnt care to see them possibly pull off some upsets(some call them upsets) and win a state title.

I am pretty sure that last year a ref made a group of cheerleaders move out from under the goal and said they weren't permitted to be there. The cheerleaders continued to cheer,shout and shake their pompoms and the ref said nothing. So from that I take it that they can cheer at anytime but not stand directly under the basket. Also nor does a ref stand directly under a basket.

I was thinking the same thing. Proved to be a winner every where he goes. After talking to him several times I would have to say he is the top 3 most knowledgable people of basketball I know.

I know the 56th district does but I am not for sure(I believe not) that there are a Freshmen Regional Tournament. There are a real good middle school tournament that the 14th Region Coaches Association hosts. I believe Jon Noble is over it this year so you can be assured it is going to be good one.

I try to attend games for a variety of teams.

Congrats. I don't know him and have only seen him play a couple times and still wish him the best of luck on and off the court.

Sweet 16 at NKU, I don't see this happening even though I have been wrong before. I hope not though.
