Remember the Friday night the games around Central KY got delayed a few days due to lightning? Woodford and Lafayette were playing that night, and Woodford was up 2 scores when the weather interrupted play. On monday night when they resumed, Lafayette made the comeback.

http://www.khsaa.org/handbook/bylaws/bylaw25.pdf Bylaw 25-3 talks about reporting the exceeding the number of games in a season and when it has to be reported by. Now I think that may apply to reporting any violation. I did not find anything that says guidelines on reporting other violations.

To my knowledge, if you have evidence of a violation, you are not forced to report it, but if you do report it, it must be done by a certian date. I don't think that it says something to the fact that you have to report it a certian amount of time after you find out.

Lexington Catholic had about 35 freshmen this year. The participated in Varsity practice as if they were any other class, except for the last 20 minutes when they would work with the freshmen coaches and go agianst each other. They dress for all games including the playoffs. Nothing changes from the first day of summer practice if you are a freshmen.

Scott Co. is on the road on Friday. Imagine the possible mess if they were the 2 seed and had a home game friday night.

That many are scheduled because every year, about half of those teams will cancel. Happened agian this year. They only played 8 JV games. And for what you said strongopenyon about playing too many games in a week, I do agree with you, but there is also trying to find the line between getting a full freshmen schedule in. With the many cancellations from other schools freshmen teams, the coach tried to pick up games to get to 9 freshmen games. Maybe all but one of these games were picked up at the last minute after other programs cancelled.

3/4 last year...could it be 4/4 this year

The last week for Fresh/JV games, the Lexington Catholic freshmen team played Boyle Co. picked up at the last minute. Lexington Catholic was in contact with Lafayette about playing thier freshmen team but from my sources, Lafayettes freshmen coach was forced to nix the game.

There are good things going on at Anderson. People there are a class act as well.

Much respect to whomever washes the Road Unis for Franklin Co. I know they have played at West Jess in a mud slop, at East Jess in a mud slop, and at Harrisson Co. in a mud slop, and must go back to play at East this friday at one of the worst mud slop fields ever. This friday they may pass the record for the amount of detergent used to soak and wash uniforms ever.:lol:

Supposedly there was an investigation into it, but no wrongdoing was found on his part. The team or record have not been affected from what I heard.

If Bovard is the WR #1, that matched up agians Lexington Catholics Ben Revere in the playoffs last year, he should IMO play at a division I-A school somewhere. He was the best reciver on the opposing team that Lexington Catholic saw last year, and I think he is just as good as some recievers from the MAC C-USA, if not better. He's kinda like a Neal Brown from Boyle, who played at UK. By the way, Ben Revere has already commited to play baseball at Georiga(and maybe football) if he doesn't get drafted high and goes straight to the pro's.

Last week when they played Scott Co. was the first game they played agianst a team that was not undefeated when they played them. They are having a down year, with injuries and bad luck, and bad luck with the draw of the schedule.

Bryan Station lost to Woodford Co. by one point, and just barely lost to Tates Creek. If they had won those two, they would be playing for a win friday for a playoff berth. I think Coach Lucas has them going in the right direction. Look for Bryan Station to take positive momentum into the off season. Station 28 Dunbar 14

If a turf field has water pooling in places, then the rubber is not distributed evenly and there is probably not enough sand mixed in. The Lexington Public Schools had this problem recently and had to delay soccer games due to pools of water on the field. They don't have sand in the mixture. Boom said that HHS field can take 7 inches of rain per hour. It seemed to me the last time I was there, the blades of fake grass were long and thick, and the rubber had a small amount of sand mixed in. I've seen other fields where the blades of fake grass are very short with lots of sand mix in. Maybe there was just more fill to make the blades apperar shorter.

I'll go with Lexington Catholic. They beat #1 Scott Co. last night and had defeated St. X and Manual when they were both ranked #1. History is also on the Knights side. Two years ago, they lost to Dunbar for the district title, and then defeated Dunbar in the region final and went on to win the state title. Last year, they defeated Dunbar in the district, and then Dunbar defeated Lexington Catholic in the region final and Dunbar went on to win the state title. This year, Dunbar defeated Lexington Catholic to with the district, and Lexington Catholic defeated Dunbar to win the region on thier way.....

We have to remind ourselves that the computer has so many variables in the fourmula that it won't always make sense. In the AP poll in 3A, Johnson Central is behind Highlands, BG, and Cov. Cath. Should they be in front of those teams? The people that vote don't think so, and my assumption is that they don't think Johnson Central has proven they are as good because they haven't played the schedule the others have, which is not thier fault. They fall into a similar boat with Lexington Catholic who is one spot behind Johnson Central in the AP poll. Lexington Catholic is ranked one spot in the computer rakings behind Scott Co., whom they beat. After Lexington Catholic beat Bourbon Co. by only 48 points, they fell four spots in the computer rankings, and after they beat Western Hills by 70 did not move up. The computer rankings probably will not mean much until the third round of the playoffs, but the only week it matters to be number one is after the last week.

Talk about a potential first round matchup: If Harrison can get by Franklin on Friday, then Franklin Co. will get a rematch with Lexington Catholic in the first round. I know Franklin will have not played up to thier potential if they loose to East Jess. and Harrison, but they did play Lexington Catholic close. And last year, didn't Apollo defeat the one seed as a four in the first round?

Lafayette would have to beat Scott Co. for this to happen. If Scott Co. wins, the winner of this game opens at Henry Clay.

The only week ratings matter are after the last week.

If Scott Co wins @Lafayette this week, then they play @Lafayette next week.

If Cov. Cath and LC are able to advancd to the region final, we will have a rematch between the arguably the best reciver and the best DB in the state. Bovard vs. Revere round two. Great matchup to watch last time.
