Franklin Co.'s Road Uniforms

Featured Replies

Much respect to whomever washes the Road Unis for Franklin Co. I know they have played at West Jess in a mud slop, at East Jess in a mud slop, and at Harrisson Co. in a mud slop, and must go back to play at East this friday at one of the worst mud slop fields ever. This friday they may pass the record for the amount of detergent used to soak and wash uniforms ever.

:D  I have to agree. They should make a budwiser commercial for the guy who has to clean them all.

Having been told all day that we have the worst field conditions in the state when it rains, I am glad to know other places get muddy when it rains, too. Laundry across the state this week must be a nightmare!

Let any player/coach from Franklin county come take alook at your field and

I'm sure they will tell you it's just like most of the fields they travel to,except of course Lexcath and Highlands! At least your water comes from the sky instead of the ground!;)

 Interesting comment...it was the Frankfort High School Panther following that told us how bad our field was after 2 days of straight rain. At least that was their reason that they almost lost to us. I wonder what reason that they had for losing to you all?

You can't take those Panthers seriously, if they were playing on turf it would be cheap, worn out, turf that made them make a mistake or two.

Anyway, I think FC has some parents who have helped with laundry, also one of the classes at the school that has some mentally impaired students in it have helped some also while teaching those kids to be self sufficeint.

How did Frankfort end up in this thread?

:p

Also, much respect to the parents of all the teams that had to play in the muddy conditions. I'm sure it was not a pleasant task washing those socks, t-shirts, under armours etc. on Saturday morning.

True Blue is still clinging onto their Moral Victory from Friday night, and oldone is just being oldone...

Don't know when you ever heard me use the term "moral victory". Just proving a point. Apparently, there are other fields in the state that get muddy after it rains, even some that are muddy when it doesn't rain.

Now, refresh my memory, what was the excuse the Panthers had for losing to Franklin County? It was played at their field - too much grass? Too hot? Too cold? Too humid? Too sunny? Too cloudy?

Amen to that - and to all of the people that do the laundry that aren't parents.

I love the way these threads head in every direction. Our excuse for losing to FC this year was on the night we played they were better. I didn't here anyone saying other fields weren't muddy, it's just the four inches of standing water that tends to be a problem. I saw one game was postponed until Saturday and I would guess if coach Poynter didn't think the field conditions favored his chance at an upset it may have been postponed. Tired of beating this dead horse.

I heard that Trimble County Built a small retaining wall (4.5 inches) around the feild on wednseday to capture more water, they let the players out of class on Friday to remove the retaining wall so no one would find out about the plan to have a wetter feild than anyone in the state. The Plan almost worked.

Now, technique, you weren't supposed to tell our secret!
