Does FC have its best eleven tacklers on the field on special teams?

By far the most exciting game played in Franklin county's stadium in a while! Two special teams TD's were the difference.I don't believe in moral victories, but this game should boost the Flyer players confidence instead of breaking it. Franklin County continues to improve weekly and will be much better going into the playoffs.If there are any FC players out there reading this,hold your heads high and work to improve!You may get a shot at redemption come playoff time!:thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Franklin Co. can go toe to toe with Lexcath offensively,but the defense is a concern for the Flyers.The flyers just need to not panic if they fall behind and play CONFIDENT!:ylsuper:

Wow! Was this an arena football game?Looks like H.C. needs some work on pass coverage and pass rush to compete with the Trinities and St.X's of the world but they obviously know how to score!

FCHS had more depth than FHS.I think Walker and company have done an excellent job in preparing these younger kids for varsity play.Some of the kids making contributions this year never set foot on the field last year!The7 on 7 in the summer helps develop chemistry.Also the conditioning bears out as the game and the season wears on.Good luck to both teams next week! Two years ago a teammate of my son's was told by the officials before the game to remove the eyeblack (had the John Randle look as well) or he could not play!I personally don't see any harm in it.

Bravo old one! Glad you guys don't let the so called knowledgable fans call the shots for you!If the fans are already on the coaches at "The other Ville"what kind of second guessing is going on with the players?No system will work if it doesn't have all the players belief and commitment!:thumb:

I think coach Ledford and coach Ammons will have the "d" fired up for this game.I'm sure the players got an earfull after the first game.:lol:

You mentioned all the changes from last year's team,but you still have tons of talented kids.In your opinion,are the talents being properly utilized?Have the schemes on offense changed drastically?How about the defense?

How does Franklin County look after an easy win over Somerset and a week off?What kind of weapons does P.C. have?

I'm gonna have to go with FC over FHS in a close game, and WC over WHHS.

Meyer hit 5 3's in the first half, but barely played any in the second half especially during AC's big run. He hit another 3 in those limited 2nd half minutes. The flyers are very capable of making some noise in the 11th but IMO Chalk needs to get the ball to the hot hand. But an all around good game for the flyers. #24 for AC also played very well. But what was up with Harris not playing much for the flyers?

Make all districts and regions have the same number of teams! Some have 4 teams now so they all make the playoffs, even if they are 0-10!

Well put LF! In Franklin Co. we actually had a week during the season that ALL extra curricular activities were suspended because of a so called diesel fuel shortage!It was lifted in time for Fri.night football,but JV games were cancelled along with all other activities.WE were not even allowed to find an alternative method of transportation! Also our sports programs revenue share with football and basketball "sharing" the most.The only money that is exclusive to the sports is what is raised by boosters and I wouldn't be suprised if they make us share that too in the future!Ithink it is safe to say there are programs out there in a lot worse condition than ours.We as parents must make issues important to us be recognized by our elected officials,especially school board members and superintendents!There is a direct correlation with money and success with a few exceptions.In some cases money has an effect as large as enrollment numbers on a programs ability to field competitive teams.When coaches are worried about where the money to buy paint for the field or needed equip. instead of being able to concentrate on preparing his or her team for their next game,they are already at a disadvantage!I also don't think it is stereotyping to say most private schools will have more money to operate ALL extracurricular activities because their parents pockets are deeper.How else do you explain a team that has state of the art equip.,field turf fields vs.a team with substandard equipment and "mudturf" fields that they can't even practice on? SURE- WE'RE ALL EQUAL!

Congrats to all who even got NOMINATED!!!! It is an honor to have been able to watch a few of these kids personally.AS ALWAYS THERE ARE SEVERAL OMISSIONS of worthy players throughout the state.I wished football was taken as seriously as basketball by the eligible voters!Iwished PLAYERS COULD VOTE!What better judge of talent is better than your peers!! :ylsuper:

I find it ridiculous that ANYONE could question Highlands coaching staff! I was not at Fri.game, but the times I have watched them they have been as close to flawless as any team I have ever seen!It is not impossible that Sphire's staff out coached them, but highly unlikely.Count up the state championships both programs have!For one of the few times in recent years maybe they just ran in to a better team! Is that so hard for the birds fans to accept?No need to place blame or make excuses for the loss.If any of the Highlands coaches see these posts they probably wish they knew who these naysayers are! Probably the same ones patting them on the back when they win it all! My sons play at Franklin County.and as bad as Highlands beat us, I thought Lex Cath could take them!(LexCath was our only other loss.)

Donnie Walker at Franklin County,but only if he shares it with his assistants ! Job well done by the entire staff.Inherited a team that was 0-10 and three yrs. later had one reg. season loss!!! Lost in playoffs to probable state champs Highlands.Got every last ounce out of the talent they had!

Like many other posters have said,It is a combination of so many things! the need for EVERYONE to do his job,the brotherhood you feel, no other sport compares!!!As a former player and now as a parent,nothing is quite like Friday nights during football season!

Speaking of EJ Fields,does anyone know how his big brothers Ephraim and Emmanuel are doing? Those three are among the finest young men to ever set foot in Frankfort!

I think you missed my point entirely.I'm not here to get in a put down contest with the frankfort high faithful.I have many friends with children attending F.H. and even coached some of the players in FYFL.The POINT is that our program is cash strapped as well as yours.Our players have to buy a portion of their equipment themselves and F.Highs kids probably do as well.Some of the big programs just have to ask and they get what they need .Their coaches don't have the distraction of worrying about finances.Also,I think you are very niave if you believe ALL of you fans are polite and proper!Lets quit worrying about a few bad seeds and remember what most of us go to games for-to enjoy the sport and watch our and our friends CHILDREN play a game!

Unfortunately at Franklin county we have a school board that is apathetic to it's schools sports, very little community support, and have to scratch for every dime just to put uniforms on our kids. If not for a few hard working boosters we could't even do that. If you had ever seen our facilities you would know why I made that comment!If our community was as dedicated as our players and coaches We could be as "selective" as you guys.By the way have you ever seen the behavior of UK fans? :irked:
