Will FC be prepared to give the same kind of effort early like last week,or will they come in with a lacksadasical attitude?FC needs to start strong from here on out if they hope to go farther in the playoffs than previous years.

It's been a few years back, but after beating both Alabama and Auburn in the same season Tennessee had shirts that said: UT /Alabama state champs!

I wasn't at this game,but I have heard that the FHS coaches were jawing about dangerous,dirty play.When you are a teacher ,coach, or other authority figure you will instinctively respond to what you percieve as unjust or excessive!If you saw someone getting beat up by a bully would you "not get involved" or would you do something?That is why these people coach,THEY ARE NOT BYSTANDERS!!!They are responsible for the young boys they coach,and must stand up for their players welfare.

I think the white hat liked hearing his own voice on WH's fancy "miked up ref system!"Hill's linemen got manhandled,just like against Frankfort high.

No way Danville loses,but I wouldn,t be suprised if Trimble scores.Danville doesn't lose again this year.

That's one HUGE if!!! They have had some good coaches there, but have never been a patient bunch.First and foremost ,the KIDS have to believe in their coaches,and the parents will follow.If they ever want to win at hills they need to give some time for the team to learn the system.

:thumb: Robinson is the best because he is not afraid to run inside.Some of the previous backs they had just wanted to hit th edge and didn't work for the tough inside yards. This may take them further than ever in the playoffs than previous years because he will get them what they need. TOUGH KID !

Will FC rebound from last week's disappointing loss to EJHS or wil they come in with "beaten down" mentality?If nothing else they learned they are beatable with a less than total effort.They learned against Lexcath they could compete with anybody with a maximum effort. What will FC do from here out?

Please come watch a Franklin County game if you think they have no other athletes!!!Better yet,talk your local coach in to giving Coach Walker a call to schedule them next year when Ammons is gone! I think you will be suprised by the talent they have all over the field.:fight:

Several posters refer to "beating this system" .I think the more accurate statement is they outscored it with their own offense,or the losing teams defense could'nt get the job done!This offense is harder to defend because it forces defenses to play "soft" or get beat by big plays.It can eat up clock just like a running game if it is executed properly,and put up more points. Also,didn,t Lexcath win a title with this offense?The danger of this offense is wearing out 2 way players if you have no depth.The teams that have the luxury of resting lineman,particularly on defense have been proven to have greater success. It is also beneficial to not have to play linebackers and dbacks both ways all game,rotating in fresh recievers and backs.:thumb:

Franklin county is a perfect example of this system. Before Walker and Co. came to FCHS they had a winless season and now the are a contender! It also makes the game more fan friendly and more fun for the PLAYERS !

Having family in the mountains gives me a little insight to the problem with officiating in that region.For one the fans are among the most belligerent I have ever seen!Most officials probably don't want to call games there because they don't like the constant badgering by fans.Also,the drive can take so long from place to place.The ones that are willing to do the job should be commended!At least they like the sport enough to try even if they aren't the best.It sounds to me like you could be a potential referee yourself! :D

:thumb: A slow start could translate to a loss for FC this week!

FC could run of different play every play for 2 games and not show "all their stuff"!I am sure all the players from both teams will be prepared to play their best game of the season. FC in a close one,less than a touchdown.

I wonder if the coaches will keep their jobs long enough to see the players develop.These coaches will never get a favorable comparison to Smith no matter what.

It is a shame it has come to this at BC,but if they have players not following the rules they have laid down they need to be kicked off the team,otherwise all respect will be lost!I believe now more than ever in Chuck Smith's ability as a head coach !

Quickness is FC's strong point with their front 7 or 8(depending on set). The field at West Jess pretty much neutralized that.Also I think the players and coaches realize the difference in talent between the 2 Jess. schools and will turn up the intensity.for next Fri. (I thought the swamp was in Gainesville!):lol:

Pat Brown, Franklin County,leads tough FC defense in tackles.Watch for him as he gets bigger,stronger and faster the next 2 years.

Western Hill might be able to take this one if they can get their passing game on track.AC wasn't able to pressure Franklin Co. at all last week,and their coverage wasn't good either. WH 21 AC 14
