college choice

They have Anderson as the 5th best running back in the country

UVa was smart to grab Chase first.

It's a high school forum, so I won't get into this very much, but I sure hate to see Anderson leaving the state. Especially to a school that will battle Lousiville every year for a BCS bid.

I do not believe that is a "done deal". He did not sound real convincing in his C-J interview a couple weeks ago. May be a chance he stays around here.

I'd heard several times that WVU is his "first choice", but he wasn't ready to verbal. But, I've seen in writing more than a few times, that he's headed to Morgantown?

Actually, they have him listed as the 5th best All-Purpose Back in the country, if anyone is looking it up by position rankings.

Great Honor for a Great Athlete.

Hopefully he'll reconsider his verbal to UWV. Last weeks injury, thankfully not as serious as originally thought, may have brought to his attention an inner need to stay closer to home.

According to that, Slusher and Durham are overrated and Beaumont and Dumphord are underrated.

My top 5 would be.

1. Beaumont

2. Minnefield

3. Dumphord

4. Anderson

5. Hines

According to what??

If there are 6 players in the state of Kentucky better than Doug Beaumont, then we are talent rich indeed.

According to Scout, the listing is in this order:

1) Doug Beaumont

2) Vic Anderson

3) Brent Slusher

4) Chase Minnifield

5) Wes Caldwell

6) Zach Kiernan

7) Chase Dumphord

8) Brad Durham

9) Stuart Hines

10) Billy Joe Murphy

According to what??

I'd say according to the info. at the top of the page...

Let me rephrase: According to what information would that opinion be correct and someone's (who is not a professional analyst or recruiter) opinion be more correct? I'd say the common aspect on the opinion is that Durham and Slusher both play on teams that beat Corbin; therefore, they are overrated. I think there's more than a little bias.

If I remember correctly, this is the same poster who had a fit when it was posted that Slusher had an Auburn offer and tried to claim that he didn't....the thread was deleted.

According to what??

According to the list posted above. I'm not saying they are overrated players like most people would translate that post. I am simply just talking about the ratings in the top ten. When I say over rated and underrated, I was referring to the ratings need to be shifted if it were up to me.

After seeing Ben Revere of Lexington Catholic, he is a top 10 player.

By people in the know- Scout.com & Rivals. com-Vic Anderson is considered to be one of the top two players in the state by both authorities, whereas, Beaumont, Minnefield etc., are not (they vary from the #1 to #7 in the state). In addition to his #5 national APB ranking by rivals, Vic is also ranked as the #1 player in KY by Sports Illustratted (SI.com 8/24/06).
