  1. That is not true! Coach Engler was told that Dixie wants to go in a different direction and did not try to reschedule earlier in the season!
  2. I'm hearing that 2026 will be the last year for the Ryle vs Dixie rivalry. Dixie has chosen not to play Ryle in 2027 and 2028. It's a shame that this rivalry will not continue!
  3. They better win the district because their cross district is the Trinity / Ballard district. Finish 2nd to St. X. and they get Trinity in the second round.
  4. Congratulations Jacob! Jacob is first in tackles with 511 career tackles but is actually 4th in career rushing yards. 1 - Jacob Chisholm - 4,763 Yards (2015-2017) 2 - Travis Elliott - 4,745 (2009-2011) 3 - Eddie Smith - 3,066 (1993-1995) 4 - Jacob Savage - 2,835 (2022-2025)
  5. There will be at least 1 5A team that gets moved up to 6A with Christian County and Hopkinsville merging. Who will that be? Apollo, Cooper, Dixie Heights?
  6. Will Christian County and Hopkinsville be merged this time around? If so, does that mean the largest 5A school will be moved up? Who were the largest 5A schools this last time?
  7. They went to the Semi's and gave South Warren all they wanted. Had Savage played, who knows - maybe Ryle would have been in the State Championship game for the second straight year.
  8. Is Savage the only one to excel on both sides of the ball?
  9. Evan is one of the best in the state and seems to deserve every award he gets, but why was he NOT selected as the District Player of the Year. I was just wondering because how is the best player in the state not the best in the district? Should the district POY also be considered a Mr. Football Candidate as well?
  10. Jacob Savage can also add 6A Player of the Year to his resume'
  11. Jacob Savage of Ryle HS is the 2025 Paul Hornung Award Winner. This award is presented to the top high school football player in Kentucky by the Louisville Quarterback Club.
  12. Indiana commit Jacob Savage of Ryle HS should be mentioned and is possibly the front runner. He's is performing well on both sides of the ball against really good competition. At RB, Savage has 144 carries for 1,089 (7.6 yards per carry) yards with 23 rushing TDs. He has added 4 receiving TDs. At LB, he has 102 tackles with 2 int's and a fumble recovery. One may consider these stats low considering he shares carries with Dameyn Anness who has close to 700 rushing yards. Plus, the name should give him a few extra votes.
  13. Ryle returns 4 on the OLine that started 6 or more games (LT: Eli Caldwell - 6'4" / 285 SR, OC (will be 3 year starter): Kyle Beatty - 6'2" / 250 SR (3 year starter), Elliot Lageman - 6'2" / 260 JR, and Max Neumann - 6'5" / 320 JR). The DLine returns 2 (DE: Bo Gay - 6'5" / 225 and DL: Aysaiah Riddick - 6'3" / 240). Ryle also had a lot of younger players get significant minutes with 9 running clocks this past season.
  14. Rumor has it, lights will be part of the new turf/additions made to the sports complex. I believe that lights were going to be put up a couple years ago, but the surrounding community/houses fought it. I am not forsure how the how this is going this time around.
  15. I saw the Catholic - Holmes game and Holmes was had a lot of team speed and they should be mentioned as a top 5 team. They will be good this year!
