Sophomore RB Dalton Cissell is currently 5th in rushing yds in per game with 191 yds per game. Xavier Bacon, another sophomore from Ft.Knox is just ahead of him. These two tied (as freshman) last winter for their weight class at the state powerlifting meet. Bacon edged out Cissell with a lower body weight.

 

Look for Cissell to have a big night vs. Bullitt Central tomorrow night. I would say about 250 yds to follow up the 313 yards he rushed for last week.

I know the boys from Male remember this kid. He only returned a kickoff for a touchdown and took a screen pass to the house. How many sophmores can say the have done that. Especially against the speed of Male. This kid can flat out get it done. :ylsuper:

Casey Hayes, Tanner Perkins, and Steve Trimble for Rockastle County. Casey plays defense at middle linebacker and has led the team several times in tackles and sacks. Tanner is a great safety on defense and a good receiver on offense. Steve is a good cornerback on defense as well.

Brett Denton RB/LB from Raceland. The kid could start for any Class A team in the state right now as a sophomore! He had a very nice game against Ashland in the first game of the season and has been tearing it up all year. You will hear alot about him in next couple years.

I think that Pat Vansant the outside linebacker from CovCath is one of the best deffensive sophmores out there.

Tim Phillips a.k.a Lil Reggie (he's #5) of Trinity is sensational.

Bell County has several key sophomore starters (some in second year starting varsity). Shawnta Zachary, WR already getting making "circus" catches; Spencer Greer TB and return man....punt return last week for only Bell score for TD; Tyler Harbin; FB Matt Simpson; placekicker/punter Monty Merrick, whose last second field goal edged Corbin...40+ yard punt average; only one PAT blocked no misses, 2-2 FG and 90% touchback on kickoffs.

Pat Brown, Franklin County,leads tough FC defense in tackles.Watch for him as he gets bigger,stronger and faster the next 2 years.

Agree on the Zachary kid...nice hands, good speed, decent size and looks like he may grow more.

Jerrell Greene, Dunbar. Avg. 120 yds. per game rushing. Also, Marquis Clay and Steven Willis, Dunbar.

Adam White from Southwestern. The kid is probably one of the most athletic kids to ever come thru SW and that is saying a lot. He has a ton of potential and ability.

He can run, throw, make people miss, and out run people he is the whole show. As long as he continues to get better and grow he will be a star.

Can play any spot on the field and play it well. Just needs some confidence, and experience.
