Leonard Macon of Danville! 6"5 wide receiver! Has a scholarship offer from UK!

This kid is a stud! Makes his QB's job pretty easy.

That Wagner fellow #21 from Lynn Camp is very good. However he sustained a partial MCL tear 2 fridays ago, he has a bright future ahead of him.

Bell County has several key sophomore starters (some in second year starting varsity). Shawnta Zachary, WR already getting making "circus" catches; Spencer Greer TB and return man....punt return last week for only Bell score for TD; Tyler Harbin; FB Matt Simpson; placekicker/punter Monty Merrick, whose last second field goal edged Corbin...40+ yard punt average; only one PAT blocked no misses, 2-2 FG and 90% touchback on kickoffs.

Just a rundown for Bell's sophomores of note

Monty Merrick K/P

Spencer Greer RB/DB/PR

Shawnta Zachery WR/DB

Matt Simpson FB/LB

Tyler Harbin RB/DT

Chase Ely WR/TE/DE

Brad Slusher OL

Robby Slusher RB/DE

I know the boys from Male remember this kid. He only returned a kickoff for a touchdown and took a screen pass to the house. How many sophmores can say the have done that. Especially against the speed of Male. This kid can flat out get it done. :ylsuper:

If he plays.

Seth Harvey 6'5 330 lbs OL/DL Russell.

Dang!! That's a big kid.

If he plays.

What does that mean? If he plays

Word is he's going to be O.K. and may be back on the field this season. He will be a heck of a player before he's done.:thumb:

Yes he is.

I would put Derek Huninghake (Bellevue) in the top 25 starters, he is a head hunter and he hardly misses any tackles.

Zach Lewis from clay co. is one of the most talented soph. in the state. He has a very good knowledge of the game also, that makes him that much better of a player.

John Hardin has two sophmores that start in skill postions:

RB/LB Elias Camper-Kid will be special, very few can catch him in the open field.

QB/DB Tim Marcum- Alot of upside, intensity and leadership skills are hard to come by in young men.

Playing in 4a it is a little harder for sophmores to make a different, due to the level of talent. These two kids seem to be headed in the right direction under the watchful eye of head coach Mark Brown.

Sophomore RB Dalton Cissell is currently 5th in rushing yds in per game with 191 yds per game. Xavier Bacon, another sophomore from Ft.Knox is just ahead of him. These two tied (as freshman) last winter for their weight class at the state powerlifting meet. Bacon edged out Cissell with a lower body weight.

Look for Cissell to have a big night vs. Bullitt Central tomorrow night. I would say about 250 yds to follow up the 313 yards he rushed for last week.

Maybe you can answer this. Is he going to get to play when he is a senior? I know growing up in Indiana you couldn't be 19 at any point in the season and play.

I believe that KHSAA rules state that he cannot turn 19 before August 1. Might change with new start of season....but then is eligible for entire school year...all sports.

Daniel Voglesang of Lexington Catholic. He plays TE and is 6'3 205. Very strong, physical player with good hands. Watch out for him in the future

Tim Phillips a.k.a Lil Reggie (he's #5) of Trinity is sensational.

It's a homer vote but he is up there....

my #1......Deuce Finch without question.
