Frankfort v. Owen County Predictions

Panthers roll by 4 TD's....

This should be an easy win this week for the Panthers. Frankfort blows them out by 5 tds.

Ugly early. Uglier later.

Frankfort dominates the game...56-0.

Only 4 TD's! You don't give little brother any respect!

It may take a while for the Panthers to get going. It's my understanding that we will see some new wrinkles in they have been saving for district play and the playoffs.

Frankfort 42-7.

I hope one of those new wrinkles is a passing game. They can run the fullback this week and win but the Admirals are waiting down the road and they better be able to do something besides run EJ left or right.

Amen to that...

Amen to that...

With players like that... you can run a simple scheme

I agree Knute it's always been my feeling the better you are the simpler you can keep things.

Question to everyone, why is it when a passing teams throws the ball 60 times and oonly runs 10 times a game no one ever says they should run the ball. But when a running team only throws about 10 times a game the offense it terrible.

Maybe the reason Frankfort doesn't throw the ball as much is because the have 3 backs the will rush for over 1000 yards this season. Also maybe they work on passing in practice and they have guys that can't consistantly catch the ball.

BTW

A couple of years ago Danville played in the state championship against Beechwood and threw the ball twice. Once for an incompletetion and once for an Int. They won the game and still had 600 yards of offense.

I agree that a team is hard to defend with a balanced attack. They can be just as tough with a solid running or passing attack.

How mant different plays are there in football? very few! you can run in the middle, off tackle, outside, or throw the ball.

Passing has always been a problem at FHS. Saying that your players cannot consistently catch the ball is a real confidence booster, here's a question, when your quarterback or running back fumbles every game, do you not let him carry tha ball anymore, or do you keep letting him run, to build that confidence back up? From the games that I have attended, fumbles occur, especially with your qb , but the backs keep on running, so what is the difference? Have confidence in your players, make positive statements.
