Frankfort v. Owen County Predictions

^Nice... but I kind of see what C-Buckett is seeing things. when you have nice backs mixed to fit their running style could be hard to defend... but wouldn't hurt to throw you opponent off every once an while...

Danville and Bardstown put at least 9 in the box and blitz almost every time cause they knew when Frankfort came to town they were going to run , run.

As Woody Hayes used to say three things can happen when you throw the ball and two of them are bad. I think that is alot af the FHS philosphy. They had a coach several years ago that tried to put the run and gun in and the results weren't very good.

I dont think is about what will happen when you pass it's about what the other team thinks what play are the going to run next.

Buckett, let it fly!! :D

This week is the week to try it out...:D

I also agree with CoachB....Why would you try to throw the ball with three backs like Frankfort has? As long as I've known, FHS has been the team to let you know they are running the ball, and dares you to stop it...Until teams can completely shut down the run game, which is not going to happen, why force a passing game that isnt really needed?

If that happened and FHS lost everyone would still blame me for the down fall of the program . Thats okay I enjoy the threats they send me in the mail weekly. Thats why I dont watch TV.

When the running game is shut down, as it has been in the past, do you think that passing would be appropiate then? Or what would you suggest?

How are the receivers dealing with the fact that they are never needed in a game-time situation, only for blocking purposes. They must really be a great group of kids, hats off to them!

I have seen the WR's used a lot. Against Garrad County I think one of them scored on a reverse.

hats off to the linemen as well that are used only for blocking purposes. Both groups I am sure are great group of kids.

I can think of one reason you should try and throw the ball. DANVILLE. They always put 8 in the box and stuff your run game. Yes, you've dared Danville to stop it and they have done a pretty good job of it. Maybe this year will be different and Frankfort can run all over Danville but I have a feeling the run game will be shut down and a passing game will be needed. And from what I've seen of Frankfort they have the players to be able to throw the ball. They don't need to throw it 30 times a game, just enough to keep a defense like Danvilles honest. Good luck to the Panthers and I hope they prove me wrong.
