I think the last time they were scheduled to play two in NKY, they took off after the first game. I think it was a DH scheduled at Scott. The breds lost the first one, there was no second.

If he was showboating he deserved it, skipping in from third is a joke.

20 in 23 straight is almost unbelievable, congtats on an amazing feat.

Much improved over the many years of Coach Krumplebeck. I remember no sideline fences and Krumplebeck dragging the outfield with his pickup due to the ruts and no grass from football practice.

Don't know about all of the sports teams at Cooper but it looks like the baseball team may be the most competative out of all this year. Someone closer to the school may know more?

Tough situation for schools without lights. I have seen several of these "ties" this year. That should not happen in baseball. The state needs to ammend the official rules, this should be considered a suspended game.

Keep in mind traveling in the ninth is a bit different than most of the state(except lou. and lex.). Most schools are very close and travel is not much an issue. If Boone plays Dixie for example it is about a 15 min drive between schools.

I have not seen either team play this year so I can not make a prediction. I will say though Coach Faust is very happy not to be at Boone County HS for the 33rd District this year.:banana: Sounds like this will be a real good game.

Congrats to Coach Rash, quality person and excellent coach. I am glad in his short head coaching tenure so far he is getting his due.

I agree with the big chunc of the schedule that has to be played but the remainder should be teams they can copmete with. I saw several games on their schedule that were unnecessary. Cincy Oak Hills, Cincy Withrow, NCC, Highlands, St. Henry, Brossart are come that come to mind. None of these are on the conferance schedule or district requirement.

Regardless, the biggest embarrasment should be for the person responsible for the Cooper schedule. That person gave them no chance. Blueflyer you should be on their case more than anything.

Someone should have used their head when scheduling over there. Football basically had the same problem. Heck it is not the kids fault, some adult should have had some common sense and gave them a shot at winning at least a couple more games. There are plenty of teams in the area that a new school with young talent could have scheduled to be compeditive with.

What happens when the player who does not get to play much for example in 2008, but his parents spend several hours at car washes etc. in the fall. Then in the tryout of 2009 he gets cut? That is not going to sit real well.

The tournament did move from year to year but as jahearme said that green stuff talks, loud!

It looks like they are already in a similar situation, since the scheduling for 2009 is basically over throughout the state.

Does Cincinnati Bell circulate that in a Blue and white Ft. Thomas edition?

Congrats to Coach Keeton, on a great run. A very classy guy who seemed to always do the what was right for his kids and program. He will be missed. I have enjoyed competing against him over the years.

Anybody know why the 12 region has to travel two years in a row for the sectionals. Somerset came to the 9th last year, WJ has to go to the 10th this year?
