The run is not necessarily unearned in this case. It all depends on what happens with the next batter. If the next batter gets a hit and that run would have scored anyway, without the aid of the E2 on the previous play, then it is earned.

How casually do we forget four years ago, 12-2. It's obvious everybody wants little Johnny to win. The window of opportunity for HS sports is about 2-3 years as is the parent posters on BGP. When Johnny graduates so do most posters here Look at the entire body of work from Warner, does someone have his overall record?

Any of the St. Henry faithful have an update on the Job? have they done any interviewing? I assume they will get this filled as quick as possible.

I am not sure how long Collins has been out of pro ball but I find it very hard to believe he would be asked to join a Major League coaching staff, off the street. He may be in a system with an opportunity, but there are to many guys on coaching staffs working their way to the bigs to have a guy out of the game get asked to join the big club. JMHO

It's a shame they are looking again for a coach. I don't really know coach peddicord but I am sure he knew what he was getting into as far as the time commitment. His son played in the program, I believe. More so the administration should have known his job and what they were getting themselves into. He was a paraprofessional. I feel bad for the kids. Tough situation

So if the tendency for Ohio schools to play these games anyway, is there any issue here? Maybe Badin would have scheduled these games regardless, thus serving two purposes, both of which are important.

Before we crucify the coach for not teaching life lessons why don't we look into the fact that the OHSAA allows teams to play games in between tournament contests. It is my understanding that they play most tournament game in Ohio on the weekends due to travel and distance. Lets look at how many teams besides Badin have played a mid week game or two to stay sharp. I think it may be more commonplace than everyone wants to believe. I mean why did Moeller who was still in tournament play at the time agree to play them? Have they done this in past years? Can someone tell me if any other Southeastern Ohio team besides the Badin Bacon or Moeller has played mid week games this year while they were waiting to play again on the weekend? If anyone knows more about Ohio HS baseball please chime in here.

FYI- National federation rules, starter must go 4inn in a complete game to get a win. So in this case Klein gets the win, no save here. Huff no decision

Playing hard and putting your nose in it are two different things. I promise you in the big leagues they don't stop playing hard but if someone is bunting or stealing up about 5 or 6 runs someone gets plunked. You can allow your players to advance on hits still hustle into all bases and score runs without rubbing it in, if you will. jmho

Sounds great, but make sure you also can explain to your team why your kid catches one in the ribs(or somewhere else if the pitcher is nasty). Its part of the game, right

That is a crazy statement,"wax them every time..." Any kid can go to Beechwood, they are an independent district. Just like all the "private" schools. Ryle is the biggest school in nky. I guess they should wax everyone all the time.

After doing some research, I believe the final date for seeding reads in the KHSAA guidlines "seeding games must be completed by the Wednesday prior to the week of the District Tournament". I gave out bad information in my previous post.

District Seed games must be played by this Sunday, at the latest, Per KHSAA regulations. They must be playing this week sometime.

looks like about 2 inches of rain scheduled for lex today thru tomorrow night. Not sure if they will get anything in.

Highlands isn't 8-8, that's the thing. Why don't they put their spring break games on the site. They still count against the limit.
