So why do some teams have so much trouble in calling in their score to the KHSAA?

Just to name a few!

 

I mean I can understand missing maybe a game for a day or so but some teams or missing a multitude of games over the last month or so?

I'm confused on what you are complaining about. I went to KHSAA scoreboard and clicked on Highlands and bam, there were their scores. 8-8 on the year as listed with a few nice wins I might add. Now if you are meaning to say " why havent some teams listed their spring break trip games" then yeah I can see that. But other than that, I can go to KHSAA scoreboard and get my teams score by clicking on their name.

FYI.......You don't have to be associated with the team to call it in. The 800# is at the top and you just leave a message as to the teams that played, the score, the date and the place.........Have called in quite a few myself...

Note: Look down at the Region (whatever) Won Lost Record and tell me what you see?

 

And note I was speaking in general terms about all the teams with so many missing scores. You never see the number of games missing in football or basketball but in baseball........

Highlands isn't 8-8, that's the thing. Why don't they put their spring break games on the site. They still count against the limit.

TOG - I'm sure most schools to not have a dedicated person that will take on this responsibility. Most schools have trouble getting volunteers for any additional task, other than a "back seat" coach from the stands. LOL

#1 No, EVERYONE doesn't "know that."

#2 It IS the responsibility of the head coach to report the scores of games to the KHSAA. That means ALL games.

#3 Yes, it only takes about 1 minute to do so.

#4 Was it 6 or was it 7 or was it 8? You know it Does matter when there is a game limit.

You can actually call KHSAA Scoreboard and report the score and even if it's not on the schedule they will add the game plus the score. I've done it several times. Just tell them the date, who plays who, the score, if it was in a tournament.

$100.00 fine by KHSAA that they can impose if they want to for not reporting.

Not a "to-do" thing, a requirement by the state, so I'd think he'd want to get that done.

You can add the name of an out-of-state team over the phone when you call in the score, as someone stated earlier.

We're not talking about Chinese arithmatic here, it's simply calling in the scores. What's the real difficulty? Just call them in, if for no other reason than as a courtesy to the other coaches.

Lastly, the coach certainly knows how many he's played, but that's not who the reporting mechanism is for now is it? If the games aren't reported, the KHSAA doesn't know, and that's who counts.
