Hilltopper2005 Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Thorobreds snap a 2 game losing streak with the shut-out victory over the Mustangs. Brossart's 3rd base coach got an early exit in the 5th inning. Harrison goes to 17-9 and Brossart falls to 12-14. Taylor Hill went 5 2/3 to get his first win of the year. Harrison is scheduled for a Northern KY doubleheader on Tuesday as they play at Campbell County at 5:00 and at Scott High at 7:30.
kybredsfan Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Harrison will not be playing Scott now due to CATS testing.
Butterfingers Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I think the last time they were scheduled to play two in NKY, they took off after the first game. I think it was a DH scheduled at Scott. The breds lost the first one, there was no second.
Hilltopper2005 Posted May 12, 2009 Author Posted May 12, 2009 Yeah, Scott cancelled this one per the post game interview tonight after the Brossart game. Something about they couldn't start a game after 7:30? Yeah right!
goaheadandjump Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I would say during CATS testing this is a very smart move. However......since everybody knows when CATS testing is years in advance they NEVER should have scheduled the game. Poor planning!

However......since everybody knows when CATS testing is years in advance they NEVER should have scheduled the game. Poor planning! CATS testing is later this year. Last year the tests ended the end of April. This year due to so many shcools missing so many days it was set back a few weeks. Schools didn't foresee this when making out schedules last year.
goaheadandjump Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Not true. CATS testing dates were set last year for the later date. All schools new the dates at the beginning of last school year for this year's testing cycle.

All schools new the dates at the beginning of last school year for this year's testing cycle. I'm pretty sure GS is right on this one. I believe schools had to move testing back due to the number of days missed because of ice and snow. The state allowed them to do this so they could get more instructional days in.

goaheadandjump Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Even if that were the case why wait until the night before to cancel????????
gold sunrise Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Even if that were the case why wait until the night before to cancel???????? That I can't answer, but I was wanting to make sure that the right info was on the board.
