I think it would have done Brian good to stand on the sidelines...next to his brother...and see from a different perspective what the Rutgers D was doing....then maybe Brian could have done better.....if he got his head right....Also when you pull a player as competitive as Brian...sometimes you light that competitive fire that was missing in the second half.....Put Hunter in for a series and then ask Brian if he is ready to lead this team.....I am not saying that Hunter is the better QB...

Still recovering and still upset..... 3 things: 1.I felt that Hunter should have replaced Brohm...While I love Brohm...Rutgers was in his head....he wasn't looking downfield....he was giving up and not playing his game...A rest on the sideline and a chance to see the D from a different perspective might have woke him up...also Hunter is more mobile. 2. Petrino went conserative again like he did against WV last year. He was flat out out-coached...that doesn't happen very often. Their LBs were blitzing and flying to the run...where was the playaction pass to the TE or across the middle? 3. Kolby Smith drives me nuts. Sometimes he looks great and others he dances around the hole...He did a lot of dancing last night. We missed Bush big time last night! I like Allen much better...he at least sprints through the hole...dancing is for the second level not the line of scrimmage. What did we lose last night bowl money wise...14 million????

and don't forget that Texas Tech was 5-3 at the time not 7-0 and ranked # 3 in the country like WV....hmmm and Texas deserves it more??????:creepy:

They give up a lot of sacks and UL gets a lot of sacks....That works good for us...Defensive wise..they are scary...ranked #2 I believe....... and they beat that Illinois team that Ohio State had so much trouble with....33-0!

If X comes out and plays the first half by passing and and taking advantage of Male's defense like they did in the second half of round 1....X wins. This would open up the running game and constant deep routes all game long would hopefully wear out Beaumont and Male's other 2-way players....I said hopefully! Male's QB has to be contained and then tackled...I felt he did more damage than Beaumont last game...that kid would scramble all over the place and then come up with a gain with his legs or arm.

Ballard does not have a chance....Trinity ...at home ......in the playoffs....They will take care of business early and often...T by at least 3 TDs... Ballard has improved....but is still way behind the Rocks...

Vic goes to almost all of the Freshman and JV games...He stands on the sidelines at these games and cheers for the little Tigers. He constantly pats players on the back and gives support....

Manual will be very tough next year....I pray for your two injured players and a speedy recovery.

Exposure...recruiting...#2 ranking..money..and I also believe that many people predicted WV to crush the Cards......Is Ohio State a great team?...yes...without a doubt.....but there is a reason that you play the game......upsets happen darn near every week...

UL just hung 44 points on the #8 scoring defense (32 points over their average) in the country and they held the #2 scoring offense to 10 points below their season average......UL will be #3 and will actually get more points as the season goes on with tough games against Rutgers and Pitt...... Ohio State is good...very good......but who in their right mind wouldn't want a shot?

Let's try again.....Please read the thread title before posting.... Manual is a very good team that has played a killer schedule. They were a couple of plays...here and there... from beating X in the regular season. Who's gotten better? Will Vic who was gimpy in the first match-up, be dominating this time? Will the turf at Papa help X or Manual? Does Manual have players returning that were hurt the first time??

Manual is a good team that plays in the toughest district in the state. They also schedule very tough out of district games.....If they played in one of the weaker districts...they very well could be un-defeated....heck a couple plays here and there....and their record would be better in this district... Manual is with out a doubt a tough game....

He was...and I think he even had a 80yd TD in that game....

In the last 3 years, (at levels of play Frosh, JV, and Varsity,) Trinity has won 3 of the last 10 games vs. X...30 %...and 2 of those were questionable... 1. the 10 minute game and 2. the JV vs. Varsity game... I'll take X's 70%...maybe not dominating......but it is far superior than 30%! Now back to the topic.....Why was T's starting QB throwing TD passes with 5 minutes left in the game...and they were up 4 scores..(3tds & a FG)

Vic was out at half...you must have your teams confused... X started their seniors on the D-line, O-line, and at QB. X plays a lot of players when the game has been decided. X does not throw TD passes with their starting QB to their starting WR with 5:41 left in the game and up 4 scores....X has way too much class for that. What happened to our weekly crack on crowd size?

It was one heck of a game. Beaumont was impressive....but it was Male's QB that stole the show in my opinion. He was very shifty. He would scramble east and west for 30 yards and then find a open WR. When he couldn't find anyone open he would take off. It was his mobility that caused X the most problems. Also X's young QB, that some on here were bashing..did an outstanding job himself. Several of his passes were on target ...but dropped. He also ran hard and ran the Off well. I can't wait for the rematch with a heathly Vic and hopefully more X passing in the 1st half. Congrats Male on the win....

The game was packed....in the stands...in the endzones...under the stands...heck there was even a large football game between some very young fans happening on the baseball field... ....Just look at the background of Da-Man's photos...packed house!....

This is a hard game to predict because while both teams want to win : 1. Neither team wants to show everything. and 2. Both teams will be testing (coverages, defensive and offensive adjustments, mismatches, tendancies) The playoff game is the one....and a meeting is almost definite.
