  1. :thumb: And if can't do it....Petrovic sure can!...That kid was almost kicking field goals on kickoffs. T's kicking game is solid.
  2. The game is at Papa John's Stadium where UL just dispatched Miami.
  3. not kidding at all...could be as high as 40,000 if the weather is right.....Many out of state alumni plan trips back to Louisville for this game to hang out with old friends. My brother gets in late this year...Friday afternoon...
  4. There will be around 38,000 for the game...probably more if the weather is good. Many, many tailgaters will be in the Papa John's lot early. Hardly ever any problems in the lots. I know we bicker on here back and forth...but you will see X and T fans tailgating together...... Click here for ticket info.... http://www.saintx.com/news/news.asp?ID=2088
  5. I did not say Trinity played "all their studs". But it is Trinity's policy to play juniors (some that get significant varsity time) on their JV team. They did play Stein, Petrino, Petrovic, and others. There is nothing wrong or illegal about it. St. X does not play any juniors or their sophmores that play Varsity. There is nothing wrong about that. Both schools have their policies and there is nothing wrong with either one of them. They both have advantages and disadvantages....like I said. I never said Trinity did anything wrong........ ...but to think that if X played by the same policies (which I know is their choice) that this game would have had the same result is just insane...
  6. This game went like I thought..... It was just too tough for an X team minus their sophmore studs to beat a Trinity team with their sophmore and junior studs. QB Stein (sp?) for Trinity looked good and T's kicker (I won't even attempt a spelling) was awesome....He hit a 45 yarder with about 10 yards to spare. He also kicked every kick-off into the endzone.....PAT's bounced off cars in the parking lot......RB Kirksey (sp?) also looked good...nice spin moves.... X's policy of not playing juniors or Varsity sophmores vs. Trinity's policy of playing them was the deciding factor in this game. X was over-matched in this one. I see advantages and disadvantages to both schools' policies.
  7. Talked to someone close to the HC program...he was very impressed with Bardstown...said that their team speed killed them...
  8. When these 2 met last year as freshman...X squeaked out a close game...... ....it will be hard for the Tigers this year considering the top players from that game won't be playing. Finch plays on the Varsity team and most likely won't play today. X also lost 6'5" 315 lb. lineman Seth Harvey from that team to Russell. If X doesn't play DJ Hall either because of Varsity time...X will be short 3 starters from last years game.... ...throw in that Trinity plays juniors (not saying its wrong) on their JV team and X freshman having a new head coach makes this a tough challenge for the Tigers...
  9. Listen very carefully LUCK......Crack kills!....get some help...before I see you on an episode of Intervention! Rocks by a landslide.....
  10. That Kramer kid was impressive...I don't think X ever put a real good lick on him.....and that is something that X prides itself on.....hard-hitting defense....
  11. HC's offense is as close to 50/50 pass/run as you can get. That makes defending a little harder..... Bardstown is a run-oriented program......but can pass if needed... Should be a good match-up....I wait later for a prediction.... ....still sitting on the fence on this one.....
  12. I believe it was a combo of things.... 1. CSAA (catholic grade school football) is played on Sundays and most teams practice their walk thrus on Saturday mornings. A lot of little brothers play here and a lot of X-men coach. 2. Optomist football is played on Saturdays here. Little brothers and parents (same deal).....it was for me anyway... 3. The score last year.... 4. It's on TV 5. UL plays on Saturdays....even though it was an away game.
  13. Kramer catches screen and makes very nice cutback move for the TD.... Run that Clock Tigers
  14. Great game Baby Rocks....I wish you luck the rest of the year....well except for just one week..... Moeller is always a great team!
  15. I agree....most pass plays were play-action or sprint outs....bring the heat! HHS has been very impressive!
  16. Highlands has more yards rushing in the 1st half than X has given up in 3 games!!!!!
  17. Highlands O-line looking good....Kramer is a shifty little fart....
  18. Too early....can't wait till 1pm to watch X and HHS on the tube....
  19. Here is a look at the program for the game...click on the team to get an overview of the teams... http://www.prepclassic.com/
  20. That's a cool scoreboard in your avatar Gore!!!
  21. I'll be watching :thumb:...... instead of going :irked: too many things going on with the kids.... Go Tigers!
  22. I think that the public and privates schools would have to up there level of quality......because who would want to send little Johnny to a school that wasn't doing very well...(because they are not forced to anymore). Sounds a lot like capitalism to me.......The school with the best product (our childrens' education) gets more students and should get more funding..... Doesn't sound like chaos to me....sounds like improvement!
  23. What you are forgetting is that there are several Catholic kids who play for Catholic grade schools but attend public schools. These kids belong to that parish and must attend Sunday school classes to be eligible.....So who does this kid belong to???? .....My answer would be ...no one!...this is the USA...and he/she and his/her family should be able to choose where he goes to school without someone trying to punish him/her. This country is great because of the freedom to choose.......OOh and for the record ...there are 3 kids from where I coached (private grade school) that are attending Male High school and playing sports......And I'm not crying about it....I wish them well because that is the choice that was best for their family
  24. Yes he can move...he is a good basketball player as well.......That 300 lbs isn't all fat either....he is just a big good-sized kid...
