  1. Ugly game for the Tigers....too many penalties (13)....and many other mis-cues....fumbles Special teams which is usually one of X's strong suits was not effective this night....blocked X-tra points...busted punt by BG for a 1st...Sad:irked: Vic missed much of the game with leg cramps. Good news is that Duece straight out of a cast and hamstring problems filled in nicely. Can't wait to see both healthy and in the backfield together.. Score last year was 13-7 X
  2. X15 - BG7 A not so good performance by either team. BG lost a lot players...X had way too many penalties (13) and fumbles. I predict some hard practices for both of these teams next week. UGLY GAME!
  3. Tigers up 15-7 with 1:20 left...Tigers with the ball trying to run out clock
  4. I love your subtle comedy....keep it up LSU
  5. Still have an hour before I have to be there...and thanks...you have a good night too!
  6. LSU knows football....and doesn't use childish gimicks...like the misuse of capitalization.... Some of us on here actually have jobs and can't go to every game!
  7. While I don't always agree with LSU and vice versa......You, sir, are no LSUROCK....
  8. I think it has alot to do with his time. He is a volunteer. He is one of the owners of the Fire among other things. He does help with the varsity as you can see him on the sidelines at most games. His work with the freshmen teaches the young tigers the right way, right off the bat....no corrections needed at JV and varsity levels. It's much better to teach good habits early.
  9. He coaches the freshman....undefeated for 2 years straight.....so they are getting it done...before that he coached a local 7th and 8th grade team to the city championship.....he has proven it as a player and coach...
  10. So was I...and I'm glad to hear he is doing good...
  11. How's Seth Harvey doing for Russell?? ...We miss him!
  12. All of these scrimmage threads kill me....but this one takes the cake..... We have several posters arguing over the score...who won?...by how much?..the format was goofy......yeah but it was our JVs playing then..... Bottom Line is that the score means absolutely squat!....The only important thing is that both teams got to run plays against someone else, they got JV players some reps, and to find out: 1. What players fit where in our depth charts? 2. What are weaknesses? 3. What are our strengths? Even the score of the early season games mean nothing....Take Trinity...since this is their thread....I believe one year they started the season 0-4 and still took state..... It is what you learn and how you respond that matters!
  13. I vote for the tough game.....that way when you are playing for real....your kids don't get intimidated by the sudden upswing of talent....
  14. :thumb: BG is a good team. The Tigers will have to be sharp to win this one.
  15. Thanks Ox....I have heard that that Wade and Zoeller are both doing good...who looked better in your opinion?
  16. Hey Ox...can you expand on how these TDs were scored....and if that was soph DJ Hall that scored???
  17. Chris beat cancer and is now a Louisville Police Officer...... I get to fight most of the rookies as part of their training. They have to fight me for 3 minutes.....let's just say that I was the one wishing for that 3 minutes to be over....he is the only rookie that I have fought in the past 8 years that had me worried about getting knocked out.....Man that guy is strong!
  18. I'm still worried about only having 2 returning starters on the team...but with Vic at RB...Drew Eckman at FB (who is reported to have gotten much better)...and Will Simmons at WR....it looks to be promising if anything...Duece will add some dangerous depth ....That first game against BG will show the real truth.
  19. I have heard reports from practices that the O-Lineman at X are extremely aggressive and the Hamburger drill proves it.
