This has been tried 2 times before and has been thread-jacked twice. Please stay on topic. If you have issues use PM or the KHSAA! The topic here is Jeff Naegli. He will be a Junior next year for the Rocks. I love this kid. He is a very hard worker. He dedicates a lot of time in the off-season to conditioning. I had the pleaseure of coaching this kid way back in 4th grade Flag and in basketball. He is a coach's dream. I also loved watching this kid's intensity on the 8th grade team. He was about 10-15 lbs overweight to run the ball on that team. He was a fierce LB. I heard a rumor today from some of his friends that he has lowered his 40-time to 4.4. Does anyone know if this is true? It is very scary if it is....that kind of speed combined with his strength and aggressive style will not be fun for Rock opponents. I will be at more Rock games this year to see Jeff and a couple of others that I know.....I will not be sporting Trinity clothing though!...

For those playing along at home...Jeff Naegli is in no way connected to any of the comments made earlier by dalen5. Jeff is a great kid too. I would love to see him get the job.

How is Jeff Naegli doing compared to these other prospects? He was a very strong kid and an excellent worker and leader in grade school.

Shively Sports on Dixie Hgwy in Louisville is very good. They have been very helpful in all sports. They have very knowlegable sales people also...For example....I went in there last year and attempted to but a football visor for my RB son who got poked in the eye pretty bad. When I took it up to the counter to pay for it...the sales person asked what league and what level that my son played...he then informed me that the visor I was trying to purchase would be illegal in that league. He guided me in the right direction. That saved me time and money and developed a repeat customer. A friend of mine who played in the Rockies organization turned me on to this place. He buys all of his stuff there.

I cannot stand blaming losses on the refs. They are human and will not get everything. Missed calls are part of the game. Some refs call the game tight and others let them play. It is your job as a player or coach to adjust your play accordingly. If your team did what it needed to to do every single play, then that one missed call by the ref wouldn't matter.

Good point...I can see that too! Burke is good too...I wish he would have gone to UL to replace Brohm when he leaves!

Being from Brohm's main rival....I still have to give than man his due....He was/is incredible...3 rings are incredible.......and as far as not being at Couch's level yet...I do believe that Brohm's QB rating has been regularly the highest in the country in D1....higher than last year's Heisman winner.

They did...the problem is that they were not disciplined enough to do it without penalties as Trinity did. Once again..this is not a knock on Trinity as you are taking this....I just feel that Trinity's defense was not the deciding factor. Giving up that many yards is not good. I think you are overlooking Petrino's effort...for whatever reason....Look at it this way...Petrino averaged 6 yards a carry and 6.2 yards a pass. Vince Young the Maxwell Award winner (and Heisman candidate) averages 6.3 yards a carry and 9.7 a pass. There's your difference! I would say that Petrino is in pretty good company stat wise

Should be 4.5 yards per pass play.

The X offense could not run that many plays in a row without committing a penalty. Trinity was much more disciplined on offense. Their special teams blocked a FG, pressured the X punter all night (came close to blocking 2 punts), and kept X pinned on their side of the field with good punting. I just can't see where giving up over 4 yards a play is considered good defense! Four times three equals 12 and you only need 10 for a first down.

Thank you Mom! You guys are incredible. While there are posts and threads on here about the class demonstrated by the X and T players, you guys (from both schools) are an embarrassment to your respective schools. Your screennames represent your school...and you are not doing either of those fine institutions any justice. It seems like everytime someone posts something good about X...certain T posters start crying! and when someone posts something good about T...certain X posters start crying....Wipe away the tears and grow up. Right now the 16, 17, and 18 year old boys representing X and T are doing a much better job of sportsmanship than some of the grown adults on this forum. NEWS FLASH...They are both awesome schools!

I agree 100%. You can ask all most any X or T grad and they can tell you the score of the X/T game during their years and a lot of other years. Ask them about any other school and most will not even remember if that team was on the schedule. No disrespect to any of those schools...just showing the intense competition between these two schools.

No one did and no one even hinted, suggested, or implied it. Families move all the time....no big deal. Like I said at the beginning...Good luck to Seth and his family on their move...We wish only the best for him.... as he deserves it
