Look for Soph to be Kirksey and his fellow Soph Phillips to take on most of the load. Plethera of receivers should help free up the run. Key of course will be if Coach Petrino takes everybody with him if he moves.

Next years class of RB's could range from the sophmore to senior class. Labetz (sr to be) is a hard runner, there is a (jr to be) RB, name escapes me, but he is a hard runner. It's a BIG step running in a freshman game to a varsity game. Those freshman better put on some meat because I'm sure the coaches didn't like those injuries this past year. GO ROCKS.

Vince was a great running back?

dalen5 Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 There was a kid they had from Jeffersonville that play running back as a Freshman in the 2004 season, he left Trinity to go back to Jeffersonville for the 2005 season. He has since left Jeffersonville in December to go back to Trinity. Imagine that.
rockmom Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 Just heard that a kid they had from Jeffersonville as a freshman but went back to Jeffersonville for his Sophmore year just transferred back to Trinity for the beginning of the second semester. Imagine that. Huh? I don't understand this sentence at all....

I'm sure he came back to T for academics only because if everything is passed, he'll have to seat out for two years from playing a sport. So nice try dalen5.

LSURock Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 First, nothing has "passed". I also understand that if a student is in school prior to any ruling he is in effect "grandfathered" in. I understand that a former Trinity student (freshman) is back at Trinity and will be playing this fall as a junior this fall. I think all of this is within the rules as they exist at this time. Secondly, after this past season I don't concern myself with who will play which position. I'll leave that up to the coach. I'm sure he will move the kids around until he finds a winning formula. Heck, Donnell never played running back until midway through last season and he did OK in the playoff run and final.

So with all that being said we can all agree that this young man came back to Trinity due to the football program? I for one just wish everyone would be honest and say that is why some of these kids are going to these schools. Publics included. I gurantee and know for a FACT that if this kid would have been told that he might not be eligible to play and would not be "grandfathered" in he would not have step foot back into the hallowed halls of Trinity.
Xman85 Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 How is Jeff Naegli doing compared to these other prospects? He was a very strong kid and an excellent worker and leader in grade school.
